    How do you find the higher notes without looking? No shoulders like a double bass for reference. It’s the only thing that worries me.
    Thanks

    One reason I got rid of my A/E was the piezo pickups picked up every little thing. I'm hearing a rattle on this, a loose jack or something?

    For me, it sounds more like a fretless bass guitar.

      And what is it?

    • @revel9243
      @revel9243 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it's the strings and settings he has on it. I saw someone live play the same instrument and he said he used a different set of strings. It sounded a lot closer to an acoustic double bass then a fretless electric

    How does this feel in comparison to an acoustic upright?

    • @gautieradam4837
      @gautieradam4837  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With the NS contemporary strings, it’s really different : really more easy, like a fretless ! But I think it will be close to an acoustic with real double Bass strings... The neck as the shape of a good upright bass neck (but without heel !)

    So, the six string one can reach higher or lower notes than this?

    nice, reminds me of my ibanez UB804

    • @ribaluigi
      @ribaluigi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's the other way around. The NS Upright is out for sale since forever. By the way, the UB804 is pretty different since its scale lenght is like an electric bass and not like an actual double bass. The UB804 looks like the NSDesign Omni Bass. Take a look here to see the differences in scale lenght.
