(My favourite character is Orka) I was also new to his writing when I read this book and started with Shadow of the Gods even tho I have also heard that his other series is really good. I would say start with this one because for me I see it less of a commitment because the other series I think has 5 book rather than three and his storytelling is one the epic fantasy, heavy side with a very wide cast but SUCH RICH mythology. I hope you come to fall in love with series as much as I have!!

The shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne is the perfect place to start with his works. Also the Bloodsworn saga is AMAZING!! I’m truly upset that I have to wait till October for the final book to come out 😢 the characters will make you go through every emotion possible and still yearn for more.. simply amazing
John Gwynne's books are absolutely incredible. Malice is book 1 to his first series, faithful and the fallen, and it's amazing. One of my all time favorite books. His a Time of Dread books are based in the same world as the Faithful and the Fallen so its more of a spin off series. And finally The Bloodsworn Trilogy- Shadow of the Gods is a seperate series that he is writing, and book 3 finally comes out the end of October (I can't wait!!) so starting with shadow of the gods or malice will get you on the right track with this amazing author! Love your videos and cant wait for you to read those (and hopefully love them)!!!

For fantasy - I would recommend Assassins Apprentice by Robin Hobb! I read the first book in this trilogy and LOVED it! It was so easy to read, atmospheric, and comical! I would HIGHLY recommend 🫶🏻
Quicksilver is amazing! 10 stars! Acotar has been my favorite series for a few years and i never thought any book could ever dethrone it but Quicksilver is really up there almost a tie and if the second book is just as good I think it may top acotar.
Shadow Of The Gods is def the better place to start with John Gwynne. It's a lot simpler to understand and less epic than his Faithful And The Fallen series (at least imo) the latter is more widely renowned by high fantasy lovers and is often ranked high in lists of all time best fantasy series, but the world in Shadow Of The Gods is amazing, and I just love that we follow STRONG female characters🙂
'Dance of thieves' is sooo good. It has a strong fmc (who also has her soft spots and weaknesses), morally gray mmc, found family (which I ADORE🤭), amazing banter between the love interests, but also very interesting politics and world building, and so much more. Really looking forward to you reading it and telling us all your thoughts and feelings towards it. Also, just want to say that I love your videos and always get super excited when I see you've posted a new one. Some dragon fantasies I'd recommend are the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik (I've only read book 1 so far, but it was SO good and kind of wholesome), and a more classic series, The Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey.
