Hey there Zero, thanks for covering my mod! I'm really glad you liked the voice acting and the mod as a whole! I'm really sorry about the quest marker issue, I'll get to fixing that soon. I probably won't be adding more to the mod as once my mods are in the public, I don't like drastically altering them. However, I will be making more Lovecraftian mods, I'm currently working on a large dungeon which should be coming out in a bit. Thank you again for covering the mod! :))
I love the heavy inclination on dialogue so far. The metaphysical setting of TES lore really does match with the Lovecraftian theme the mod is emulating.
You ever want to pry open the fourth wall and hop dimensions to say, like, three paragraphs and then dip? Anyway, Sithis is the embodiment of a lack of existence. Anuiel is existence, all-encompassing and consuming, and Sithis is all the in-between--not quite a "true nothing" (which by nature is not something that can exist), but moreso just nonexistence. Hence why Sithis is the Void. It is technically tangible, it's just that the standard definition of tangibility doesn't cover intangibility. Ironically. If you can point in even the most vague of directions and go "that doesn't exist," guess what, baby? You just made the intangible tangible! In other word, ouroboros. I love this mod to bits. :)
The paradox of nothing is truly an interesting thing. To be nothing is still something, as you are the opposite of something. As hinted at about 2/3rds into the video, where we see Dreynos' descent into madness, for something to truly be nothing, it must get to the point in time where this is true; where it truly was nothing. But, because of how time works, Aedra, Daedra, Magna Ge, the Living Gods (minus Vivec, who escaped the dream), the Primordials, are all bound to it, so Sithis is also bound to time, so despite its extreme apathy (as described by Dreynos), it cannot escape its own existence for it doesn't control Time. That said, Sthis does care from time to time, as Sthis does not want Cicero killed in the Dawnstar Sanctuary, as the shade of Lucien Lachance mentions that the Void is becoming restless, disturbed, during the quest where you have the option to kill Cicero, stating that Sithis does not desire that outcome. Dreynos' death seems vaguely like Tale of Icarus; got too close to the "sun", and got literally burned for it. And while Godhead isn't exactly "canon", there's still a lot, and I mean A LOT of hints that it might be. Especially if you throw in the Towers theory.
Hello Zero! Thanks for covering Nimwraith and I's mod! It was really cool to watch your experience and I'm so happy to see the intrinsic player asking great questions as the story is revealed! It certainly makes you yearn for something... something more...😜And also, thank you very much for the compliment! I do plan on being in more mods in the future so stay tuned! PS nice catch on the Oblivion reference. Blessings of Anu upon ye!
Always interesting to see mods focusing on the more esoteric elements of the lore. This really gets across how murky and confusing the cosmic aspects of the setting can be...even more so to the people living in it. I'm reminded, tangentially, of the Here There Be Monsters mod series, which also pulls in a lot of Lovecraftian influences... literally, what with the second installment literally being called the Call of Cthulhu and about blending actual Lovecraft mythos with Elder Scrolls lore (fairly well, I might add).
Nice mod! I think it would’ve been neat if there was more actual gameplay beyond just dialogue, but then again, it’s nice to have something that’s just a small encounter without much grandure or drama for a change. Reminds me a bit of Froki’s quest about Kyne in a way, with it being a bit of a crash course in older/more obscure lore.
Froki's quests are also a reference to the Nords more accepting the Imperial pantheon as a retcon, but also acknowledging that "Yeah, that pantheon's still a thing beyond just in the Halls of History in the dungeons."
Looking forward to watching you play Starfield. I may not be able to play it because of my laptop now becoming a potato, but at least you get to play it and share what the game has to offer.
The double edged sword of attaining answers to life's biggest mysteries. The closer you get to a conclusion that makes you believe you 'know' something, suddenly turns into another question - regardless of whether you asked that question. Fork upon fork, further down the 'rabbit hole' or layers of the onion, the more you know the more you begin to understand how much you do not know - if this is the answer then what question needs to be asked to be applied to it? For the answer is never enough to satisfy the thirst for more knowledge when you equate power with knowledge.
When you mentioned shaking I thought it would be part of the mod....somehow a tiny bit of shaking...a bit of floating... reality going just a little bit haywire...
Very unrelated to this mod and its themes but have you ever used Warbird's mods? Not really quest mods, but there is one that adds entire new sections to Whiterun, and the other gives you a dwarven underground train station, as an alternative to fast travel. Both definitely worth a review
Question unrelated to the video: would you ever be interested in making vods / having youtube streams? I really dislike Twitch (it's incredibly laggy), but I imagine this is where you make a big chunk of your income. Just curious.
TH-cam is the larger part of my income currently, but I also like being on multiple platforms just as a safety measure in case anything were to happen to TH-cam. I do need to set up a separate channel for Twitch VODs (something I'll do later this year), but I don't have any plans to livestream on TH-cam.
@@0periodproductions oh, I see, you wanna keep this as Skyrim oriented as possible? ok. well, will be waiting on the news from the channel, just sad that i've missed the Elden Ring playthrough cause Twitch ate it by the time I came to watch it :D
Oh I just played Elden Ring for me as a for-fun game, but I did stream Dark Souls 1, and the Demon's Souls Remaster. I would make a separate channel for Twitch VODs because of how the algorithm works, uploading them on this channel would actually hurt my viewership on regular videos (TH-cam is weird)
The part where he talks about the void not being in stasis reminds me of this incredible performance of Beckett's Not I: th-cam.com/video/M4LDwfKxr-M/w-d-xo.html

@@0periodproductions Thank you!
Bring cthulu to skyrim!
Beautiful work : )

4:44 That's a historical present tense. It's a present tense used to give more immediacy to a retelling of past events. It's used correctly here.
Blessings of Mystara upon ye
Morda
2:28 shoutout to Fudgemuppet and Drewmora and Imperial Knowledge.
And fudgemuppet videos😂😂😂 I felt that lmao
"And... Fudgemuppet videos too..." 🤣😂🤣😂
Took the words right out of my mind.
Me too 💀💀
I loved that comment as well!
the reference you made to fudgemuppet was a nice touch

soaking up this knowledge to drop on people randomly 😊
Reminds me of the Call of Cthulhu game. The more you want venture through the madness. the more you are consumed by it.

"it gazed back"
Stare into the Abyss, and it stares back. :)

Reminds me a bit of Froki’s quest about Kyne in a way, with it being a bit of a crash course in older/more obscure lore.
It reminded me of the kind of encounters I might find in Interesting NPCs, which is some of the highest praise I can give

I don't usually get into lovecraftian content, but I like this thus far. Thanks for showcasing it! Hope you have a good one! 😁
Always here for Skyrim Saturdays w George 🐉
Great job on your most recent work George keep up the great work I'm always entertained by your work
Thanks for sharing this great new mod with all of us.

The description of the void here sounds like Warframe’s Indifference
Honestly the burnt corpse kind of reminds me of the giant cavern if then you find in the forest
i still waiting for you to try ABYA quest mod 🙏

Did someone say…
L O V E C R A F T?
Sithis is a primordial force, not exactly an entity. What they worship is very likely a manifestation of Mephala.

Audio book mod maybe….
The answer is simple.
Sithis is FudgeMuppet.
