E-cam VS B-cam⚡️Foxbody 5.0 Mustang (what this racer thinks)

  • #MustangTown - I uploaded the original video of this car years ago, but I wanted to make another edit without music.
    The 1985 and 1986 GT will forever be my favorite Foxbody models and this particular car is an absolutely perfect example in my opinion. I just absolutely love this thing lol…. anyway, here’s a personal opinion on the E303 cam compared to the B303 cam. I personally love both cams and have used both cams, but if I had to choose just one for a mild street 5.0 Mustang, I would pick the B303 cam.

    In my opinion I have always thought the Tubular GT40's are a work of Art 👍👍👍 and I have mine hanging in my foxbody room as a decoration piece 😉

      I agree. I also feel that way about GM's 85-92 Tuned Port Injection (TPI) intakes. They are beautiful too with the tubular runners.

      @@nedaCFilms Absolutely.... Yeah my first car back in '88 was a 1986 Red Iroc and I loved that car until a foxbody came along and beat me lol and then I was addicted to the foxbodies but yes those intakes were Beautiful and I just may have to find one on Ebay

      Yup,im a huge fan of tubular runners,id trade my edelbrock performer 5.0 intake for gt40 intake in a sec. Arent the edelbrock performer intakes that have 5.0 engraved on them kinda rare now?

    I’m a 92 fan last year of the forged pistons . Very glad I still own mine. And I love the air bag steering wheel.

I knew that since I was in high school And i graduated 99 I feel like I’m the last of generation X and the fox body generation . I had 91 red Lx and a 95 cobra in 98 sold them . Joined the military and bought my 92 in 2005 four 5500 from the original owner who work for ford , Original paint no sunroof five speed it was everything I was looking for and I found it a block away from my house The guy didn’t have it out for for more then 10 min when I drove by and paid 500 to take the 4 sale sticker out and I paid him the rest an hour later. I didn’t even test drive the car because I thoroughly checked everything checked every Vin sticker on every fender , already knew it still have the original clutch original brakes original spark plugs original spark plug wires and the parts he took off which were all put in the original box of the aftermarket Ford racing parts, 355 race gears period Correct Hearst competition plus shifter with the original in the box. I have the original cat back not cut . With the original h pipe original wing , it’s not missing one piece . The Flowmaster 2 chamber 40 series look brand new but they’re completely broken in and from being put on back in 93 sound killer . I have brand new nos chrome pony’s still in the factory box I never put on yet . They’re not cheap knock off . It has 75k miles and still has original clutch starter spark plug wires which I upgraded and kept the originals. This car has never seen rain since 98 cause they told me that’s the year he started to garage it , and I had it in the garage ever since I got it. I took the Windshield wipers off I carry them in the hatch with the spare tire just in case but I have the Silver bullet wiper delete covers that look good . It’s my baby. Emerald green paint code PA is a color people will pay a premium for ., i was offers 12 k in 2009 , and I wouldn’t sell her for anything . I was going to get a 04 Terminator , but I drove by this car the day I got money to put down on a terminator but it was the same day I saw this . And I knew fox bodies were going for cheap back then. I only put 4000 miles since I bought it in 2005 , I actually had a garage for 14 years and didn’t touch it or start her . I’m just now getting her all set up and replacing gaskets just to be safe because it’s been that long . I feel like if I didn’t store the car this long I probably wouldn’t own her still . She is mint . And could easily lie and say she has under 15k miles but she has 75k original . She was taken care of over kill before I got it and then I stored her The correct way. You can eat off any part . Only dings I have are from my stupid ass giving a little scratch from lightly knocking a sled 🛷 back wards , no dents just a little mark . The photo in my picture Their says 2006 that was the day I put in the garage for all those years until now . I just started getting back into it and noticed how these cars have exploded in popularity . They weren’t call fox bodies back then they were just 5.0 then , I swear fox body came out in like 2005 2008 time .

      Awesome bro!!! Ive had 3 foxes myself,i currently have a rio red 87 gt very clean with every mod and bolt on done to it. My first 2 cars were foxes back in 2000 and 2003 and this one will just make a year ive had her on halloween. Bought her off my friend and it wasnt cheap but worth it cause its a straight up turn key car. Gonna add boost later,has a 92 lower end i just remembered.

    Thanks for sharing. I have '92 with a similar set up, GT40 TUBULAR, GT40P HEADS WITH 1.72 ROLLER ROCKERS, SHORTIES 2.5" H-PIPE, EXHAUST & FLOWMASTER AMERICAN THUNDER COMPLETE SYSTEM. T-5 WITH A FORD RACING HD CLUTCH. THOSE ARE THE BASICS, THOUGH I DO HAVE A NUMBER OF OTHER GOODIES. The main difference is I'm running 3.55:1 GEARS. I'm considering adding a letter cam but I understand it won't make much more power up top and it may loose power down low. This is just a daily driver that I want to do the best it can from stop sign to light when tested! Any recommendations, suggestions or comments would be nice. Thanks.

      I’ve always been a fan of the B303 and E303 and F303 cams. They sound AMAZING and are just great tried and true 5.0 street cams. Personally I’d go with the B303 cam. I prefer the higher duration over the higher lift, but with 1.7 rockers you will get .30 more lift, so that B-cam would end up having similar lift as the E-cam and all that radical duration of the B-cam. An old buddy of mine had GT40p heads, F303 cam and ported Cobra intake and if I remember correctly he made around 310hp at the wheels and cracked 11.9 quarter mile times. He had that GT40p headed F-cam engine tuned right!!!!!!

    He was talking about e cam dropping power after 5500,lol. Depends on set up,my fox runs till 6k and keep pulling,but i have all full bolt-ons(hci and supporting mods plus 1.,7 rockers) and a tune on 373 gears. Nice fox though.
