Many people seem to be confused why sylvanas was able to solo lich king. 1. Sylvanas obviously has new powers from some entity from the shadowlands that is older than the titans 2. Arthas had frostmourene and bolvar obviously doesn't have it. And if you didn't know frostmourene was a very important part of the lich kings power after the crown
Then Bolvar is an idiot who allow players in legion to take frostmourne shards and make a weapon for them self, instead reforge legendary blade a new And Sylvanas is still a Bitch
Frostmourne or not Arthas would have fallen. This LK did not even touch her. Sylvanas is being fed raw death power from an entity that can make Arthas a servant.
Just explaining to you what's going on with Sylvanas and Shadowlands lore in general: 1. When you die in the game, a spirit healer takes your soul into Oribos, the capital city of the Shadowlands. 2. There you are judged by the Arbiter, an ancient entity who chooses the place where your soul will be sent to. 3. Your soul can be sent to Bastion (the "heaven", where souls who had a life of service, like Uther, are sent in order to become spirit healers), or Maldraxxas (a place of zombie-like beings, where relentless warlike souls, like Draka, are sent in order to become warriors of the Shadowlands), or Revendreth (a "purgatory", where souls with flaws, like Kael'thas, are sent in order to be punished for their sins and eventually redeem themselves) or Ardenweald (a mystical forest, where nature spirits, like Cenarius, are sent to rest and eventually return to the world of the living) or the Maw (the "hell" of the Shadowlands, where the most vile and iredeemable souls are sent to endure eternal torment). 4. That huge guy behind Sylvanas is the Jailor, the ruler of the Maw. Sylvanas is not his servant, they're just "friends" sharing the same goal. Sylvanas has been working with him since Cataclysm. 5. For some unknown reason, the mechanism of death is broken. Instead of being taken by the spirit healers and sent to be judged by the Arbiter, all souls are being directly sent into the Maw. This means that ALL the souls who died in recente times, like Varian and Saurfang, are now in "hell". 6. All souls carry within them a powerful energy called "Anima". The Anima is the energy responsible for keeping the Shadowlands working. It's the life source that causes the rivers of this realm to flow and the trees to grow. 7. With all these souls (and Anima) trapped within the Maw, both Sylvanas and the Jailor are growing stronger. That's why she defeated Saurfang and Bolvar so easily. She's being empowered by this huge amount of Anima inside the Jailor's realm. So yeah, I think Sylvanas is evil, she caused the war beetween Alliance and Horde and killed thousands of innocents just to push more souls into the Maw and becomore more and more powerful.

Hard to believe it could get better than the cinematic but they announced so many awesome changes that is almost sounds way to good to be true. I can't wait until this goes live next year!!!
You just know that in the end its gonna be Arthas who kills Sylvanas and reasembles the Crown to lock away the shadowlands! It would be a perfect redemption arc and a good closeru for Arthas and Jaina's story. Arthas becomes the new jailer, reasembles the crown or just crafts a new one and maybe if Jaina dies, she stays by his side. The perfect way to wrap the whole thing. If Azeroth is to be free and its people be able to live in piece, everything that connects the people and Azeroth to theire past needs to die and dissapear forever. Meaning all the old OG characters need to die for theire people to be save.

so cool to see that version of the lich king. the red and blue. actual power out of a character other then sylvanis.. they take his crown off and break it.. i mean we couldn't have enjoyed that eye candy of a lich king for at least a little while. i get the storys direction and love it. but can't help but feel that way on some small level. some thing really really cool. and gone that fast.
All Hail The Banshee Queen Sylvanas making another expansion for us to look forward to, a question though it’s like the afterlife of World of warcraft so if you die now, can you just travel between life and death? Seems a bit confusing since the worlds are connected now
I really hope Blizz won't mess this up by letting her be the villain. I believe strongly in her, that she has a way deeper plan. She's way cooler than her heart looks like. I really hope for some plot, that she's bringing the whole heroes (which died) back to life. That's the way, why she disturbed the whole life and death thing. (if I remember right to starting video of legion. She was not amused about the death of Varian.) I believe, she trusted him. And will bring him back. And all other heroes maybe, even Arthas... And the war from BfA was needed for the many many deaths which granted her maybe the power to open the world to the shadowlands.
Wrath is by far my FAVORITE and most loved expansion. So to see the Death Knights and Lich King return? I've already pre-ordered mine x) Allied Races and Pandren death knights too? Sign me up!

I remember the good old days in which I liked and cared for Sylvanas. Those times ended the moment she destroyed that beautifull crown.. But I have to agree with Sylvanas on one thing and that is Bolvar being worthy of the crown. Atleast Arthas fought for it, Bolvar just got himself toasted and than guilt tripped Tyrion into giving it to him.. When Arthas comes back either as a light or dark forged or what ever, he'd better get that crown back to seal the rift to the shadowlands! Because the Old Gods know we need our prince that was promised more than ever! Also this expansion BETTER!!! give us some kind of closure between Arthas and Jaina! I mean thats something I've been waiting for ever since Jaine found out that Arthas as a Lich King still wore her pendant close to his heart! I played from the beginning until a few years ago! Just seeing what’s happening! Freaking sad! I mean how many times we going to see that same trailer? They just changed a few characters and upgraded their clothes. Sad! I was thinking of playing again but I’ve been there done that!

Spoilers: Most of the Shadowlands are dying because all souls are going directly to the Maw, instead of being divided among the covenants. So whoever controls the Maw is currently getting all the power. The Maw is controlled by an entity called the Jailer, and Sylvanas was using chains while fighting Bolvar. So I guess the Jailer empowered her in return for all the souls she sent his way.
