Anthony Dinh That was my biggest problem when I started bowling 2 handed but I eventually got my ball speed to about 17-18 mph after working on footwork.
OP Streamer nah dude more than that😂 revs speed balance, that makes it hard, do the same thing over and over again, im an professional bowler in sweden, im 12 and there is a lot more than that

You know from my understanding, the good curve happen when releasing ball the sec of change in where we spin the ball, it also include where position of the ball when it dive through the lane which pretty hard to predict the good spot for release and how much control we need for the curve
Does the left hander have knee pain. He plants with his heel preventing slide. All the force of his body weight comes to sudden stop onto his plant leg.
Two questions: What ball weight should I use if I’m a stronger ish 15 year old guy? And what is wrong with my release. I seem to throw it on the ground instead of releasing smoothly like them? Am I letting go to soon?
So I’d suggest 15 pounds, and not to ever throw 16 since I believe it runs through the pins too much. You could be releasing too early, but maybe you can try to get lower in your stance and hold on just a few seconds longer
B00t G00mba alright thank you. I went bowling before I saw this and it was either going in the gutter to the right because I right handed or it curved way too much and hit like one or two pins on the left. I stand in the middle and aim for the 2nd arrow on the right. Any suggestions on where I should release the ball and where I should aim?
What works for them may not work for you. Having your measurements taken down by your local alley worksman would better complement your style and weight to amplify the output of your current method of bowling
Jim Ronsivalli the main advantage is the potential for higher speed and revs. Both of which means better carry on any kind of pocket hit. Purists will tell you it's a dumb way to bowl because it just means you can't put revs using your thumb. Honestly even though it's easier to get more revs, it's actually much harder to throw with 2 hands in general. And to call it an unfair advantage is silly because ANYONE can 2 hand a ball if they want. And with the massive oil patterns on the pro tour, there's a reason so many 2 handers do so well. Belmonte, Simonsen, Svensson, Paalerma, Maldonado, just to name a few.
More speed isn't key, but the way you are bowling is easy to chicken wing. to speed it up make sure your hand is behind the ball all the way through your release. That also will increase the speed a little bit 👍 Anyway good job man.
You guys are dope man ! Question, how is the bro on the right picking up the 7 pin ? I'm a 2 handed lefty and I'm struggling there. Any help would be appreciated!!!
This probably a little late but it seems he is using more speed and trying to not let the ball get into its roll so it doesn't hook past it. Personally I use a plastic ball but every once in awhile I will throw reactive if I think the lanes will allow it.
Jonathan White Yea you should not be using plastic for every throw. You are hooking way too much with not enough speed if you are using a plastic as your strike ball.
I seriously need help with my release, i just cant seem to get it down for some reason, right when I release it feels like my elbow sticks out, how do I correct that?
One thing that could help is seeing it on video for basis so you can see if your not clearing your hip from the ball. I do this all the time because of that. One thing I have recently been trying to do to keep my elbow inside throughout my backswing by adding some drift left to clear my hip and keep the ball swing path clear. You could also change your swing to more of a figure 8 motion like belmonte where he pushed the ball to the left initially and swings it back around like an 8. This will give you clearance to keep your elbow and wrist on the inside of the ball in the downswing. Just something to try. Hope it helps.
When you release the ball make sure to keep your bowling arm close to your body, opening it (your elbow sticks out) will make the ball overhook or curve.
really nice throws! are you guys bowling on regular house patterns or some sort of competative pattern? also im not trying to correct you or anything but the guy on the left lane could really pick up some more speed if you bring your right arm a bit more back, which could help you if you ever have the issue of running out of oil on the lane :) also i like to use a spare ball to pick up spares to also save some oil, but then again when i go bowling i usually play like 15-20 games... ^^ With that being said every 2handed bowler has his own style. good luck on 300s :D
Thanks this was a leftover houseshot from the other day and yea I have been trying to fix my (lack of) backswing because my speed is not high enough to match my rev rate. Thanks for your advice. I hope to have an updated video up sometime soon. Thx
@@tmikjak speed of the ball has to do with your legs, not back swing when it comes to two handed bowling. The faster u run up, the more speed u get. Your back swing is fine here
Some of you, trying to tell them how to bowl and what too do. Not every 2 handed bowlers bowls the same.. I have been bowling 2 handed since i have 5. 12 years. soo. yeah
So I was bowling about a week ago and I bowl two handed and when I threw the ball the insert came out and launched across the lane. Also before this the insert popped out while rolling and the ball was bumping down the lane
Don’t let a lower rev rate make you think you suck, I’m 1 hand and mines about 480. Practice bending your elbow in your back swing and practice the wrist snap with a nerf football
Guy on the right needs more speed if he wants to keep striking. His imbalance at the release and his actual release are slowing him down. Try to again, come up and and tilt the ball, do NOT just turn it around with your entire hand. You will just throw it with little speed and unnecessary revs.

when bowling two-handed do you put your thumb in the thumb hole or leave the hole open?
I do not use the thumb hole and rest my thumb on the side of the ball. And by now most of my equipment does not even have thumb holes drilled.
@@tmikjak I bowl 2 handed and I do the same thing. My custom ball doesn't have a thumb hole either

I guess I don't see the advantages if there are any of bowling with both hands. Can someone explain it to me?
For me there's a lot less strain on my wrists and also I'm able to achieve a much better rev rate on my ball than bowling with one hand.
