Mrs. Brenan was correct. She crumbles, her bones crumble, the soil is used to make another thing, and in time it crumbles. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, to the ground we return. The crypt with the Quinn family had a beautiful tile floor. You can see a bit of it at the gate. So sad that the floors are gone.
Another beautiful graveyard ❤ Thank you GV and Sue for sharing this wonderful story with us God bless all those that rest there may they be in eternal peace ❤❤
I remember Richard Harris from one movie in particular; A man called horse. A very fine actor, may he rest in peace 🙏 Beautiful old church and graveyard. Thank you very much GV and Sue, for another great video. Have a great day. 😊
My friends parents ran a pub in Kensington in London ,my friend knew Richard and his brother they use to drink there in the 60’s , my friends sister went out with his brother for a while , my friend said they were both nice but Richard was a hard drinker. He was a brilliant actor seen him in loads of films , thanks for your vids 👏👏🇬🇧🇮🇪
I love touring these graveyards with you and your soothing voice! Very much appreciated. I appreciate your work very much as a death positive space. Much love and support from Grass Valley, California, USA 🇮🇪🪦🕊️ ❤ 🇺🇸
Richard Harris, what a great actor he was. Glad you have found the Harris family plot. Next to the Harris plot is the de Courcey. That surname is familiar. Was there a person of nobility of that surname that established a castle somewhere in Ireland? Have to research that. Also, a grave with a marble busts with names in Italian and Irish. Thanks for this vid!
John De Courcey claimed most of Northern Ireland. He was part of the Norman invasion into Ireland and is probably most famous for building Carrickfergus Castle. Later the Norman/Irish became an even bigger headache for the English than the "old Irish" clans.
Loved the huge cemetery Matt, thanks for all of your work researching it. When the snow falls in your area, please take your time driving to the cemetery location, love the historic cemeteries, and always looking forward to more of your visits. 😊, have a rest of the week Matt.😊
You have a very interesting channel I always loved the cemetery, ever since I was little and my grandma took me with her visiting our family grave. I always like to read the names and dates on the headstones.
Another lovely video GV, just read the story of the young girl in her 20s on someone's comment, such a sad story, may she Rip🙏,,, You know a lot of people used to say that Richard Harris wasn't much of a singer!, l totally disagree. He's version of McCarther park is (in my opinion), the best. A wonderfull actor sorely missed 🙏. A beautiful cemetery, l always look forward to your vlogs, both you and Sue always make my day. Blessings to you both☘️❤️.........
@@GraveVisitations I was looking for a grave numbered 154P, and was told it was in the 'new extension'. It's a family plot (Doyle), but isn't hugely old.
Hello Have you been to St Paul s Cathedral ? I have an ancest buried there who was a painter He was known for his paintings Got his education from Royal Academy of arts. He died in 1851 in Chelsea London England.
I'm surprised you didn't mention his role in The Wild Geese. Never knew he was a Rugger from Limerick. I played when I was younger, and my people are from Clair.
another fact. about twenty years ago someone stole a JCB and destroyed dozens of Celtic Cross tombstones in the area you filmed. They just knocked them over in pure vandalism and nobody was caught for it.
I live in Limerick and the problem is the council. They do as minimal possible maintenance. That church is in the news for the last 20 years with the council stating it is to be renovated. 20 years they are saying it and NOTHING done. Limerick City council are the worst. And Limerick is the only council in Ireland where you have to pay to open your own grave. In no other place in Ireland do you have to pay to open your own grave.
Beautiful stonework! Richard Harris was a great actor. I saw many of his films and enjoyed them.
A VERY TALENTED ACTOR. THE OLD GAURD HAS PASSED ON. WE WILL NEVER SEE THE LIKES OF THEM AGAIN. SO SAD.
I saw him in a couple of pictures, very good actor. RIP to him and his family.
Very nice tour and video

And don't forget Return of A Man Called Horse! Both are profound and are about him becoming part of an American Indian tribe.
@@Mendy1958I forgot about the second movie. Thank you very much for reminding me. 😊

Typical youtube nadia always getting it wrong.

Isn't it such a pity that these Graves are not kept very well and Oliver Reed 's as well kept in poor condition

Richard Harris. The only man I would have married - despite the 40 year age gap.
