2022 July 23rd: I drove along the US-1 from Southern Miami all the way to Key West in about 2005, with my then companion Yunfang(Yun Fang) Zhou, who is also known as Molly Zhou. She probably got her Specialist of Education degree then, not her Doctor of Education yet. We even had a short section of video when we returned to Miami from islands named as Florida Keys. That road is shown here also--the road over the Gulf of Mexico with some long bridges. Jie Song, At 0:55 to 0:58, in Super 6, in Pensacola in Florida.

I've been to all but the Anchorage trip. You forgot Pacific Coast Hwy which is easily top 3 roadtrips.
Talk about diversity of landscape, the drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco is epic. It has some amazing stops along the way like Marina Del Ray, the Santa Monica Pier, Malibu, Santa Barbara, Pigeon Point Lighthouse, Hearst Castle, Big Sur, the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Monterey, Carmel by the Sea, Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, Great Beach and the Dutch Windmills at Golden Gate Park and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. There are sandy beaches, palm trees, cliffs, mountains, rolling hills, sand dunes, lush green hills, redwood trees, flat plains, large rock formations, vineyards, colordul wildflowers, ocean fog, turquoise water, Spanish-inspired towns, boardwalks and piers, bridges parks and of course the beautiful Pacific Ocean. There are plenty of places to park to take photos along the way because you'll definitely want to.

I'm a little disappointed they didn't mention Route 101... its easily the most beautiful, impressive, and accessible routes in the U.S. and I don't know any better way to see the Pacific Ocean.
Highway 1 is better imho.

A lot of these are too short for me to really consider road trips but they're definitely some amazing trips and look gorgeous!
Also side note; don't think I've ever heard Anchorage pronounced Anker-auj. That's an interesting pronunciation there lol

It's payment for guest tourists. Roads. Still a lifesaver, that's a guarantee, instead of poop boots.
We had to put up with roads rive (as kids) however, because kids get bored so plan 1-3 short drives, close to where you'll stay. Take pictures thatll travel well to go.
If we drove our name, Washington's pink Chihuahuas would complain we took their places. I'm sure many have driven for us & we've driven as much for them.
Hana highway was cool but tbh felt a tad over-rated especially when compared to a lot of stuff on this list. Tons of fresh coconuts and sugar cane though!

Surprising no 101 or Blue Ridge
Pacific Coast Highway needs to be considered. I wonder if OP actually drove these places or they just wikipedia searched random routes, I would think not since Anchorage was butchered. Lol. Also would be nice to know where these places are by state.
