Thank you! Really helpful video for a newbie to vimeo. My only question that kept coming up was... "Is this feature available on the basic plan or will it only be available on a higher upgrade plan?" Knowing which plan will be best for me when starting out is my key question.

I'm convinced a fair proportion of impressions are actually views. I think this is to do with current browser technology that has the ability to block or anonymize user activity reporting in the interests of privacy, such as Apple Safari. Most of my videos are recorded church worship content and there is a constant mismatch between user reported views and the Vimeo metrics. Lots of impressions that come from the geographical region of the congregation and many fewer views, but to a much greater extent than might be predicted in the context. (If a churchgoer clicks on a sermon at all, it's typically because they missed the service and plan to watch it.) I decided to test this out using my wife's MacBook while she was logged out of Vimeo. She played several complete videos, and they were immediately reported as impressions by Vimeo. I waited another 24 hours to see if the metric would be updated to views but they remained logged as impressions. My guess is that loading the video registers the user as an impression but ongoing streaming activity is anonymized by the browser in some way. Anyway, that's my particular experience. Otherwise, Vimeo is a fantastic platform for our needs.
I've noticed that same problem with Vimeo on certain videos. I can't seem to pinpoint the exact cause though. I do think you are on to something with browser technology.

Once you become a paying user, do you have all the options? I can't save the video, I can't find the second UI, and I can't see a place to name my video sequence, and I don't see how you can cut footage out of the middle....or speed it up or slow it down....these are tools I need. How long ago was your video posted? I'm wondering if things have changed?
If you are needing to make edits to your video I'd recommend a video editing program as opposed to Vimeo. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, iMovie, etc. are all options for this.
For the other UI, Vimeo has made some more recent changes that removes the old UI.

Nice tutorial, thanks, appreciate it. Is there any way to put a 15 second rewind button in the player or video somehow? I'm making some teaching videos and really dislike not having control over rewinding it a bit when I've missed something. Trying to move the cursor back as little as I'd like is a goal I often miss. I want to use vimeo as I already have training videos hosted there. But this is probably a deal breaker for a larger project with hours of training... Please say it isn't so....🙃😊
I’m unaware of the ability to add a rewind button. But one thing that might be helpful for you is chapters. You can put chapters so that users can skip to certain parts of your videos. This might be helpful for viewers to restart the section.

In the new one I can' t get out of the transcribe to add my endscreen I am stuck in there!! How do I get out?
Not sure, we've never seen that issue. Best advice would just be to restart and open in new browser session.
