    As a former Christian who has been Saivite Hindu for 10 years, this guy doesn't understand one thing about Hinduism.

    Completely misunderstood Moksha. According to Hinduism in Moksha you will go to Vaikuntha/Kailasha. You will have all your consciousness. It is not nothingness. Complete and deleberate misinformation. The point of major sect of Hinduism is Sharanagati (complete surrender to God). Hindus don't seek to fibd Moksha. God gives it directly to us

      No moksha is universal oneness... without individual self.. vaikunta or kailasha are also places which are part of the creation ...
      soul will know finally that it is the Brahman....that is the final stage for soul....that soul completely out of creation illusion ...it is the supreme Brahman....no maya or illusion effect that soul anymore.

    Hinduism offers diverse spiritual paths (bhakti, jnana, karma) and rich philosophical traditions (Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita). It emphasizes unity in diversity, with one Supreme God manifesting in many forms. The principle of ahimsa promotes compassion and environmental stewardship. Hinduism is known for its vibrant cultural practices and significant contributions to science and philosophy. It encourages personal growth through meditation, yoga, and ethical living, supporting self-realization and liberation. Its inclusivity and tolerance make it a harmonious and comprehensive way of life. Hindu texts and culture have contributed significantly to science and technology, often aligning with modern scientific principles. This ancient wisdom serves as a bridge to modern science.

    Bhagavad gita is not poetry. It is book containing supreme knowledge in 700 verses. No verse in this book is without any relevance/Knowledge. It contains essence of all of Vedas, Puranas and Agamas. It is most important knowlegable religious scripture. Also Krishna is not lesser God in Hinduism. He is Avatar(incarnation) of God Vishnu. Krishna has been major figure in Hinduism even before christ lived.

    Appreciate the Professors explaination on Hinduism. I assume he is talking about the general idea of Hinduism today which basically a mixture of Vedic and non-vedic religion or practises. The former originates from central asia and it share similarity with Assyrian Babylonian and later Abrahamic religions. Non vedic are Saivism, Vaishavism, Gaumaram, Shaktam or Dewi worship which prevalent to the subcontinent. At present one just see a merge of both ideas. On the philosiphical aspect we have duality, non duality or mix of both which we term as Advaitha, Vedantha or visithAdvaitha. Its a relation between soul (atma) and supersoul (Paramathma). For example i am Tamil and practices Saiva Siddhantha principle which based on duality which means we have the trinity of Pati (god), pasu(athma) and paasam (a screen that blocks the correlation btw the two entity).Moksha is attain by tearing up the screen by a really complicated process.

    All things he said was wrong. Vedas are called Apaurusheya(Non Humen/from god). Agama literally means revealed. Hindus never worship christ. Some see him as great yogi. But have never seen anyone worshiping him as God. All of lecture is mistake and misinformation

    Wrong to say Everyone agrees to caste system ___ because its Religion.
    Totally wrong .
    Casres or jatis offered Job Security z a Monopoly of Work and profession.
    In modern times, in multi cultural world, castes offers Social Security of distinct Customs, social rules, rituals etc, marriages .
    They are afraid of marrying otjer castes , because the tatses and priorities of that caste are different.
    But now adays these castes are withering away.

    Western faiths are shallow and can’t understand spirituality and such. Salvation religions are shallow.
    Hinduism seeks its followers to seek the truth, and different people attain different levels of truth and ultimate goal is to seek salvation and unite with god (moksha). The religion never says ‘this is the truth’. It is all about seeking god and truth.

    • @indianmilitary
      @indianmilitary หลายเดือนก่อน

      "seeking god and the truth" nah. There is no concept of god or heaven or hell in HIndu tradition. Hindu dharmic tradition is more about 'self realization" of the immortal, conscious and omnipresent self and mimicking its impassive experiencer and non doer attributes in action to sustain the stability and harmony of the universe or dharma
