A church is a gathering of people, not a building.
Man! What a great man of God, that would preach the uncompromised Word of God. Thank God for Pastor Billy Graham. God bless him. I can't imagine how many millions of people or even billions, from every tribe and nation and tongues that would run up to him in Heaven with gratitude for sharing the Good news to them that changed generations that made Heaven their home. As a small child in Houston Texas I can remember well the fond memories of going to my aunt Frances' home every Saturday night for years with my parents to watch Brother Billy's messages of salvation. May God award him many jewels in his crown and i look forward in his fellowship along with all of his loved ones and mine. That would, of course include all the people of the world. God loves you all.
Give it your all 100% for Christ. Smile at people. Say thank you more. Talk to strangers. Show joy even when your having a hard time dont show it. Raise peoples spirits by complimentary comments. Love your neighbour.
The lady who was watching over me for my mom took me to this crusade, I being 8 or 9 years old at the time. I believe I was blessed that day, that it had a positive influence on my life.

@@JesusDoctrine Dear friend, God Almighty made a testament/will in the OT with us that we should inherit His kingdom. So for this testament/will to be activated the testator has to die.
For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. Hebrews 9.16.
That is why God Almighty had to die on the cross (He didn't cease to exist just like we do not cease to exist when we die) but He died in the flesh so that He could spill HIS holy blood

so that whoever believes in this gift of LOVE (self sacrifice John 15.13, Romans 5.8) should receive His Holy Spirit and be sealed for the kingdom (receive the inheritance)
You must believe in the Christ, the LOVE (self sacrifice/death) of God manifested in the flesh because it was the love of God that fulfilled the law that brings death.

So if you believe in the love (self sacrifice/death) of God in the flesh, the death of the testator, you will be born again and receive His inheritance, His Holy Spirit and will no longer be under the law.
Trinity and unitarianism (and all other religions) will lead you therefore to hell because both doctrines demand a faith, in which a separate father sends his separate son to the cross. Whoever believes in this, whoever puts their faith in this sacrifice of an other, does not believe in the selfless self sacrificing Love of God, and will therefore not receive the Spirit of God but the spirit of the selfish (satanic) anti (in stead of) Christ.
God is SPIRIT and when He came to earth, He was still in heaven at the same time

Question: what about meeting online? If we're gathered in all but the body, doesn't it qualify as fellowship? If we are gathered in the name of Jesus Christ and we are doing his work in our communities, does that count?
I wish Billy Graham was here to answer this. I see nothing wrong with the online Church Community for times like this, with lockdowns, pandemics and risks we could harm others. If it's possibly to be bodily be in a meeting, I believe it far better. Love makes us want to be intimate and the help one another, distance makes it harder. No couple wants to speak on the phone if they can be in person.
We are no further from God online but, further from one another. I miss the meeting with the extended family of God. Everyone sharing in encouragement and prayer. Hugs and smiles, friends and no ability to pause or be distracted, online for me isnt the same.
Yet i use online daily, to study, read, listen and more. I did the same whilist attending a physical Church gathering on Lords day. I hope my thoughts are useful, pray about it!
Although online meetings are good for accountability and fellowship, it does not take the place of meeting in person. The Bible talks about breaking bread together and laying hands on the sick etc. you can watch a fire online, but you cannot feel the warmth. We are called to be in fellowship with other human beings in person. There’s also a great blessing in corporate worship. All throughout the Bible, we see directions for the church, and leaders as they are giving account for our souls as well as spiritual gifts that are meant to be used in the church. God bless you.🙏🏽
What about churches that hurt?
Any real church has No intention to do anybody harm. If harm is done, it's probably by misguided or blind zeal. If its abuse, forgive and find another place to serve God in safety. Do not let pain or hurt shape your Christian life. Many have suffered for their faith, the most important thing is that we keep our eyes on Jesus, He will help us through.
I suggest that anyone feeling hurt tries to speak about it first with the church to resolve it privately. This may help them not make similar mistakes to others in the future and reconcile matters. I say privately because it's hard to get an apology and understanding if we attack a group. Failing all this, find another church but, forgiveness and not blaming all churches for what pain is inflicted is vital. We cant blame all people from a faith for one mans mistakes.

There a different between a back sliden nation that worship idols and oppress people as spoken of thoughout Jermiah 8 to, unintended mistakes made in Church. I hope your experiences of Church are not horrific like Jermiah 8.
The Church is the place where the healer, Christ is at work. We are restored by our repentance. Church is a place Jesus is preached, sought and prayed to.
Remember that wolves will come into the midst of the flock, the wheat and tears grow togeather, they will be seperated on the day of harvest or judgment. That's not an excuse for sin in the Church but, none of us are a perfect work yet.
A Church ought to learn from mistakes not hide then. Often times individuals learn faster than groups of people, especially where repentance needs to be made.

Gospel hymns instead of Christian contemporary songs,choirs instead of fog machines & concert atmosphere,the use of the Bible instead of a phone app or just a guy talking like a Ted Talk on stage.
