The First Omen 10. Longlegs Still need to see Nosferatu, Babygirl, the Brutalist, Complete Unknown, Nickel Boys, Queer, etc.

I think Timmy actually did really good with the marketing. Seems like he just wanted to get people to see the movie not appeal to the committee. By going on ESPN and even Theo Vons podcast he reached a new audience and people who probably werent even considering seeing this movie
Can't wait to see A Complete Unknown this weekend in Newport! I'm so glad you liked it, Grace! I think though that it's important to spread out the word about the film to people who wouldn't normally be exposed to it and I actually think that's a very good thing for business. Take Wicked for example, so many people I've spoken to have said they won't go see it because of preconceived biases but everyone I've been around who actually saw the film says it was one of the best films they've seen in a long time. Only keeping audiences segregated in 'high school clique' subgroups is death to the film industry.
I love the book Dune Messiah. I never felt that Paul was a bad guy. He was trapped by his visions, prophecy, and the plans of others just as much as the Fremen.
I know have weird taste so bear with my favourite 10 movies I've watched so far this year. 1. Conclave 2. The Substance 3. Joker 2 4. Deadpool & Wolverine 5. Dune 2 6. The Wild Robot 7. Anora 8. Strange Darling 9. Kill 10. Alienoid 2

Hi Grace, using my gifted membership to compliment you on your amazing informative professional, unbiased videos. please keep doing what your doing and get well soon from sickness
the sad truth is Conclave didn't need the secret twist ending to be a great movie. it was just a slap in the face to Catholics at the end. and grace, and other non-religious people, saying that being offended by something that was clearly there specifically to offend is ridiculous. organized religion isn't failing because it isn't progressive enough. it is failing because it isn't upholding the strong virtues and rules it proclaims. religion won't make a comeback by making it more like "modern" times. society yearns for rules and structure and answers that the church can provide. modern society is void of these and that's why things feel rudderless. so no, being offended by the end of conclave is exactly what the filmmakers wanted, and it's sad they couldn't just have had a "papal thriller" without the asinine twist. (and yes i know it's based on a book)
Ooh gotta comment again! Love the discussion on Conclave. It made me want to see the film. Thanks Grace, I hope you and your family have a great holiday!
I've seen 40 movies at the theater this year (including returns of 2023 movies) but only 6/10 of her choices, including those three. _Deadpool & Wolverine_ is the only one of the three I imagine I'll watch again.

In no order, the movies I watched and enjoyed in 2024 Alien:Romulus, First Omen, Immaculate, The Substance, Abigail, Maxxxine, A quiet Place Day One. Turns out I didn’t watch that many new movies. The best movie I saw this year was Parasite 😅
Opening a time capsule and finding A Complete Unknown over the critically acclaimed and box office success The Wild Robot sounds like a nightmare scenario tbh.

I can’t believe we’re already at the end of the year…
This year went by so fast 😭
A very interesting year ! Haha
I can. I was here last month and it was November and so were you. Now it’s December

Dune 2 is a masterpiece
"I wonder what kind of feet Mike Faist has" 😂😂😂

Wicked is number 1 for me. I’m not even a big musical guy. The music was fantastic. The story was great and the actors were phenomenal.
Same story here for me. I was wowed. Can’t stop singing “No one mourns the Wicked” all day.

Grace won’t react or break it down because she’s busy with family Vacation
How can you make this list without watching The Substance?? You'll have to tell us if you would put it up there after you watch it
Exactly it's crime not to talk about anora and the substance
@@natnaellii3154she saw Anora and thought it was alright
@@natnaellii3154she did see anora!
It’s impossible to watch every single movie that comes out in a year while also having a life. Also she did watch Anora.
@Brv117 but she did say that she would watch it after christmas so I thought that she would make the list after that, I mean it's one of the most talked about movies of the year
So ready for the Gracies!🎉
Definitely would say my top movie would be:
Wicked or Deadpool & Wolverine
Same. These 2 movies really made my year
Conclave was Superb! TY! for the recommendation a few months back! Great list as always.
Timothy Chalamet getting on a national tv sports broadcast doesnt hurt his appeal,if anything it broadens it.
Pleasantly surprised you have Conclave as your #1, but I couldn't agree more. Excellent movie.
Dear "I'm", the world misses you. Reading was more enjoyable when you were still around. I hope that wherever you are, you are happy.
Very good movie. Might be worth seeing a second time, knowing how it ends.
Thanks for another year of vids Grace!!! Huge stuff next year for you to cover and for us to all experience with you.
My awards would definitely be called, “The Dickies”.
My current top ten (there’s still some movies I need to see, but here we go):

I checked out Conclave based on Grace’s rec and it did not disappoint! The Substance was my top film of the year though, without question.
Conclave doesn't come out until 2025 for us so we're still waiting. I know Fiennes is incredible, but it's John Lithgow they had me at
