Let me get this straight Grace. You criticise Adrien Brody’s nomination because of the AI scandal, but Felicity Jones accent’s was also corrected by AI and you say she deserved to be nominated? What?
The difference is Brody was the favorite to win and Jones was barely nominated. I assume(or not) she would have the same critique if she was a front runner.
Emelia Perez 76% critics 28% audience gets all the Oscar nominations Reagan 18% critics 98% audience and gets all the razzy nominations But there is no bias or agenda here. It's OK stick your head in the sand and pretend it doesn't exsist.
In my opinion, Challengers, Furiosa and Civil War got snubbed, also Luca Guadanigno and Denis Villeneuve. I didn't watch the livestream but I am watching it at home tonight. This is one of the livestream I always love the more during the year.
The scene in the substance when Demi is getting ready for her date resonated with me as a man as one of the scenes of the YEAR alone, and many other people who both loved and didn’t care for the movie appreciated that scene too. That scene alone is why I think Demi Moore deserves this win.
Emilia Perez is horrible. Awful acting, awful songs, awful script, and it is also quite racist...I am dumbfounded how could anyone like it, much less it be nominated to a freaking Oscar

Politics will dominate the Oscar’s. It’s the most tone deaf place on earth. I predict bad ratings, lots of virtue signaling and awards wins based solely on politics.
I think the two things that are hurting Wicked chances are the fact that it’s a two parter and the fact that it didn’t have original songs. I definitely not a big fan of Nosfertu but I am happy for the people who like it and success of the people who worked on it. Plus I did like the gothic aesthetic.
The snub of Marianne Jean-Babtiste in the best actress category for her searing and stunning performance which many believe is one of the best of the last decade in “Hard Truths” is egregious.
If I could vote for a movie this year, it’d definitely be Conclave. As a Mexican-American immigrant brought up in the catholic faith it’s an incredible film and any catholic/christian who dares challenge or question this film should really reflect.
How can Google Translated lyrics for music will win Original Song, the Oscars have reached a new low for me. I mean probably it will not meaning it should.
Grace being this excited about Ariana's nomination (rightfully so) is so ironic with how Grace was doubtful when it was announced that Ariana is Glinda haha
I think she made the movie. With someone else, it might have been a lame performance and the show might have died, like the latest _West Side Story_ and _Cats_ adaptations.
20:41 she do not deserve any respect for this movie. Even if Saldana wins something, will be bad, and she was the only think that worked on that movie, kinda...
I don’t understand this AI argument. They’ve never CGI’ed a tear on an award winning performances face? Was auto tune never used for Chicago? Was CZJ really hitting all those notes perfectly?
I think the argument is that some things you mentioned are tools used by artists, while A.I. is replacing artists. Someone said, we want something to free up our time spent on chores, so that we can focus on our art, not do our art for us so we can spend more time on chores.
@ I heard Grace make that argument. She’s also mentioned that they used AI to help Karla reach notes she couldn’t reach on her own. So autotune? I understand her “opening the floodgates” argument but I think we’re beyond that. Like is said in my original comment if an actor can’t physically produce a tear during a scene should we really count it against them if visual effects animates a tear rolling down their face to get a more compelling scene?
Please dont support Emilia Perez. AS A MEXICAN THIS MOVIE JUST MAKES ME FEEL SAD. THIS IS NOT JUST A BAD MOVIE BUT THIS MOVIE IS AWFUL TOWARDS MEXICANS
i remember hearing Cynthia Erivo for the first time when she performed Stand Up from Harriet at the Oscar's so not having the Best Song nominees perform anymore does make me a bit sad
I hope they bring them back next year. The problem is this year the two Emilia Perez songs are awful and no one wants to hear them (though it would be good punishment to everyone who nominated them) At least folks at home can mute. 😂

Two years ago I had cancer. Went through treatment, touch and go here and there, had surgery, most difficult time of my life. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. I liked my cancer better then Emilia Perez...
There was a new rule that came our recently that said a movie score can’t have more than a certain % of the same score as the previous film. Dune Part 2’s themes are largely the same as Part One’s score
@Trish-lamour i think this are gringos, English speaking people watching a subtitle movie and giving awards for representation. There is almost no quality here
I really don’t get the hype for Wicked. Standard hollywood movie. It’s the Ariana fans and the theater kids pushing this movie…and apparently Grace too lol
Jfc the misinformation about the Brutalist AI stuff has gone too far. If I hear one more person say they altered his accent, imma lose it lmao. They altered 2 minutes of him speaking HUNGARIAN. Minor syllables that are very difficult for english speakers to get perfectly correct.
Couple things, Grace. Cause to be really honest, some of the things you said are very off kilter. 1. Dont put us gays in a box. And while I dont think you imtended to speak for us, its best not to comment on how or by whom gay characters should be portrayed. Very tone deaf for a straight woman to say that our people should ONLY be played by our people. Again, that puts us into a box, and its really not for you to say. All due respect. 2. Emilia Perez is an incredibly, almost comically, offensive film to Mexicans, Latinos and trans people. It literally could not be a more backhanded film. The disdain is not coming from "haters," but from actual Mexicans/Latinos/trans people who actually are legitimately offended, and whose opinions are, frankly, the only ones that really matter. The way the film is being praised as some kind of high art because trans and Mexican is so incredibly patronizing and backhandedly offensive.
When I find out that American characters are portrayed by British actors, I find that interesting, as I wouldn't have guessed from their American accent in the show or film. I remember learning the actor playing the flirt Captain Jack in _Torchwood_ and _Doctor Who_ was gay and thought he gave good performances. I think it may be that and chemistry between actors that matter. You could have two actors that are both gay (or both straight portraying straights) without that chemistry, and say that's bad casting. I haven't seen Emilia Perez, and don't know if it was in my favorite theater. Thanks for sharing.
Point well taken. But forget it it, Grace lives such an isolated online life her priors are to be held, not changed. She knows better than you do ..and she will stick to it. but I agree with you.

Demi Moore has always been a very good actress Grace wouldn't know good acting if it hit her in the face
There’s a lot she doesn’t know lol.
Demi Moore should win best Actress its a travesty if she doesn't also Margaret Qualley got Snubbed for best supporting actress 😒
@kingslayer2999 Agree 💯
@SlowGraffitiVideo Agree 💯 Lol 🤣😄🤣
Dune 2 was the best thing I saw last year.
see more I guess
@@ogroberts - You need to watch more films.
@@ChienaAvtzon I watch a lot of films. Probably too many. I'm here on Grace's channel aren't I? :) I'm curious, what was better than Dune 2, in your opinion?
I felt there were a lot of fun and good movies but nothing generational like Dune 2.
@@BluePrada That's a lame response. Tell me what you liked best. That would be better than trolling.
@@ogrobertsDune was a safe bet because nothing is even great that came out last year
Let me get this straight Grace.
We don’t come to Grace for consistency and logic.
Only their Hungarian scenes were touched and her is very, very, very brief.
@@manantial773 but it still was used.
You may want to watch your tone and be a little more respectful no?
Love you Grace, but there's no way you think Wicked had better vfx than Kingdom
Both are fabulous I’d say
@@LHollan Did you have your eyes closed during the field scene in "The Wizard and I" musical number? That looked bad
Emelia Perez 76% critics 28% audience gets all the Oscar nominations
Reagan 18% critics 98% audience and gets all the razzy nominations
But there is no bias or agenda here. It's OK stick your head in the sand and pretend it doesn't exsist.
Demi Moore can’t act!??? Wtf
Nothing in Demi Moore’s past filmography shows her as being a force of nature actress for all of you to be pretending like she does
@@BluePradaNothing in her past shows you have any competence to assess good acting.
Grace knows nothing about cinema. Her opinions on Anora and Demi Moore are truly laughable.
So true
Dune Part 2 should win Best Picture. That film deserves its flowers!
Emilia Perez is horrible. Awful acting, awful songs, awful script, and it is also quite racist...I am dumbfounded how could anyone like it, much less it be nominated to a freaking Oscar
Dune: Part Two should win best picture.
Best Actor: Ralph Fiennes 🙏
He is overdue. He is talented. So it absolutely SHOULD be.
Adrien Brody already has an Oscar and used AI.
Timothee & Colman will likely will win next year for Marty Supreme & Michael.
Sebastian Stan is just lucky to be nominated.
Will: Fiennes or Brody
With Dune 2 getting all these snubs, I hope Wicked wins big and wipes the floor with Emilia Perez.
I'm gay and I genuinely do not care about straight actors playing gay roles... how do we know Daniel Craig's exact sexuality/orientation? I feel it's none of our business either way. he's an actor!
Gay man here. Couldn't agree more.
People being offended on the behalf of people who aren't offended 😂
The Hollywood elites snubbed sonic 3 because they're scared it would sweep
I 100% Agree 😁
Ironically Sonic 3 has better relatability with Mexicans than Emilia Perez because Shadow is very popular here in Mexico next to Goku.
Thanks for all your videos this week. They have been great. Team Grace.
Rebecca Ferguson should've been nominated
The LGBT community is a large community but the vocal lgbt community who get offended by things such as straight actors playing gay characters is small. U are trying to hard to be ally, specifically a ally to the vocal minority of our community
Conclave will win best picture? They got snubbed on cinematography and director. Not exactly a show of strength.
I hate Emilia Perez for its portrayal of my people in Mexico. Offensive movie
The movie isn’t meant to be a documentary it’s a made up story to each their own I liked it.
@@dorino9057we get it. You loved the movie. Stop spamming!
@ the haters are spamming so I’ll say my opinion
This is what will happen.
Best Picture - A Complete Unknown
Best Adapted Screenplay - Conclave
Best Actress - Cynthia Erivo
Best Actor - Timothy Chalamet
Best Supporting Actress - Zoe Saldana/Ariana Grande (hey a tie happened before!)
Best Supporting Actor - Kieran Culkin
Best Sound - A Complete Unknown
Best Score - The Brutalist
Best Director - James Mangold
Best Costumes/Art Direction - Wicked
Best Visual Effects - Dune Part 2
Best Cinematography - Nosferatu
Best Animation - The Wild Robot
Don't forget cynthia was nominated before
Politics will dominate the Oscar’s. It’s the most tone deaf place on earth. I predict bad ratings, lots of virtue signaling and awards wins based solely on politics.
Definitely. Especially since a man is nominated for Best Actress.
Because Hollywood liberals are such misogynists, they think the best women are men.
Wasn’t Demi Moore great in Ghost!? A bad actress?😳
If the film is great, the director had something to do with it.
Major snubs by queens Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis for The Last Showgirl
45:28 Jennifer Hudson won Best Supporting Actress for her first movie..which was a musical. 🤷🏻♂️
The Challengers Score Snub is insane! Insane I tell you!
If I could vote for a movie this year, it’d definitely be Conclave. As a Mexican-American immigrant brought up in the catholic faith it’s an incredible film and any catholic/christian who dares challenge or question this film should really reflect.
You dont think Denis Villenue getting snubbed was not a HUGE snub? Ridiculous!
Typical Grace. She thinks RDJ was terrible in Oppenheimer.
I’m literally not looking forward to a single win here! 😂😂😂 Hollywood truly lost the plot!
How can Google Translated lyrics for music will win Original Song, the Oscars have reached a new low for me. I mean probably it will not meaning it should.
Dune part 2 should’ve been showered with nominations.
Conan is really good!
Yeah. Conan is doing it because it's fun. The guy doesn't need it. He has the kind of irreverent attitude that the ceremony needs.
Demi's range in the substance was phenomenal grace 😢 come ooon
do your homework and don't misinform your audience - the Brody/ Jones AI was for the part where they are speaking Hungarian- not the English part
Hollywood is still disconnected. Haven’t watched the Oscars since the enormous snub of The Color Purple nominations 1986 I think it was.
Challengers is too modern but Emilia Perez isn’t?? Mind you Challengers is set in the 2000s
Challengers film score is the only snub that bothers me.
Agreed. Even the chores v doing the art argument is weak when it’s a fine line that can be blurred.
A.I use and CGI are two different things, you understand that right?
Please dont support Emilia Perez. AS A MEXICAN THIS MOVIE JUST MAKES ME FEEL SAD. THIS IS NOT JUST A BAD MOVIE BUT THIS MOVIE IS AWFUL TOWARDS MEXICANS
Best Picture
SHOULD: Conclave 🙏 WILL: The Brutalist or Emilia Perez
Pamela should've been nominated.
I don't understand why Grande is always in the supporting role categories, she's really a co-lead with Cynthia.
No Cynthia character is the main character
Cynthia has around 20 minutes more screentime than Ariana.
Would've been nice for Pamela to get the fifth Actress nomination. But that went to a man.
DUNE WAS ROBBED OF THE SCORE nom and win…this year. I don’t agree with the rules.
i remember hearing Cynthia Erivo for the first time when she performed Stand Up from Harriet at the Oscar's so not having the Best Song nominees perform anymore does make me a bit sad
I hope they bring them back next year. The problem is this year the two Emilia Perez songs are awful and no one wants to hear them (though it would be good punishment to everyone who nominated them) At least folks at home can mute. 😂
@ejbell true
And they are guilty of AI use for the vocals...
As a Mexican I'm so upset about the nominations for Emilia Perez and the movie itself, it's absolutely disrespectful and offending
Greta was already a oscar nominee before barbie
People who don't like Conan O'Brien and Dave Chappelle are just lost. Both are legends!
Your comments about Demi were in very poor taste. You are trying to blacken her moment, and we won't stand for that..just like we protect you from internet trolls, we will protect Demi's hard work (even from you). Shameful.
Oh please.
Once again, they vote based on subject matter and not movie quality. Dune being Sci Fi damned it.
Sebastian had very difficult role and nailed it
7:00 WTF cares what Bowan Yang thinks and what "mistakes" has Chappelle made? What the hell.
Two years ago I had cancer. Went through treatment, touch and go here and there, had surgery, most difficult time of my life. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
I liked my cancer better then Emilia Perez...
LMFAOOO
So, as a gay guy who likes to do acting by your logic, i can only play gay roles?
Well, thanks for wanting to limit my range 😪
She doesn't realize her beliefs are actually bigoted.
If Wicked got nominated for additional score, why didn't Dune 2?
There was a new rule that came our recently that said a movie score can’t have more than a certain % of the same score as the previous film. Dune Part 2’s themes are largely the same as Part One’s score
30:36 no is not, Emilia Pérez is straight up a bad movie, go ask anyone who speak spanish.
Screenplay was awful. The nomination is ridiculous
@Trish-lamour i think this are gringos, English speaking people watching a subtitle movie and giving awards for representation. There is almost no quality here
Angelina Jolie is hurt in Hollywood cause she is vocal with her support for Palestine
Glad to see a Better Man prediction Grace. Deserves to win on the 'Rock DJ' scene alone!
‘Ugly sisters tearing at Cinderella’s ballgown’ - another classic Grace quote! 😂❤
The fact that a man is being nominated in the women’s category is the cherry on top of the delusion of Hollywood 😂.
Snub is when you really have a good chance and really deserves it but didn’t get in right? Sorry but I don’t think John M Chu was snubbed
I really don’t get the hype for Wicked. Standard hollywood movie. It’s the Ariana fans and the theater kids pushing this movie…and apparently Grace too lol
As a btt view for years is anyone else sick of the “anyone who doesn’t like this is ‘toxic”?
The people behind Emelie Perez should never work again…
28:01 Grace I don't think that all are "haters" the movie is an insult to mexican culture, to their actors. The movie is plain bad
I appreciate Grace, the white liberal, feeling offended on the behalf of all Mexicans
Glaad awards snubbed Emilia Perez and the Oscar's couldn't read the room.
Why would Selena Gomez (of all people) not getting a nom for Emilia Perez (of all movies) be considered a snub 😂
The way the film is being praised as some kind of high art because trans and Mexican is so incredibly patronizing and backhandedly offensive.
oh brother shut up
When I find out that American characters are portrayed by British actors, I find that interesting, as I wouldn't have guessed from their American accent in the show or film.
