I was stationed at Coleman Barracks, Sandhofen, Mannheim, Germany and went to Wacken in 1992 and 1993. Was incredible and cool to experience. Also would hop on the ICE and hit concerts all over Europe. From Monsters of Rock to Super Rock. Greatest time for a Rivethead in Europe. 🤙🤘🤘🤘🤙

This really is a mix of festivals in my opinion… the closest to EDC/Lost Lands or an electronica festival but in the Metal community. One day I’ll make it to Wacken 😍😍😍

Well not quiet. This year it is a mudbath and many many people including got sent away because of the weather. Waiting to get refund or a ticket for next year. No one can enter the festivalground since 1 am on wednesday

da fahre ich lieber jedes jahr auf ein kleines punkfestival auf ner kleinen nordsee Insel. und habe urlaub mit festival dabei. und gesitteten leuten die auch jedes jahr alles sauber hinterlassen!!!

Bei 150-200 Bands hat das sehr wohl etwas mit Musik zu tun. Wacken bietet neben den Konzerten halt noch vieles anderes. Muss nicht jedem gefallen, dafür gibt es dann ja auch die kleineren Festivals. :)
Ist klar , bei mir in der Nähe (5km) gibts ein Punk Konzert jedes Jahr und da ist nix mit sauber machen,die zünden ständig Sachen an und schmeißen die Toilettenhäuschen um

@@z0ttel89 dann kennst du die Rock n Roll Butterfahrt auf Helgoland nicht. jedes jahr werden wir vom tourismusbeauftragten gelobbt! und die hotelbetreiber wollen auch lieber butterfahrer als die normalen touristen, weil wir pflegeleicht sind und alles ordentlich und sauber hinterlassen. sogar die hotelzimmer. deshalb fahre ich da seit der ausgabe 4.1 hin!

das frage ich mich auch! World of tanks? oder dieses mad max paraden dings. aufm festival sollte es um die musik gehen nicht darum "wie kann ich noch mehr geld aus den leuten rausziehen".
Ich war 97 das letzte Mal dort, und mich zieht es auch nicht wieder hin, obwohl es nicht weit weg ist, aber es wird ja keiner gezwungen. Das Festival ist in wenigen Stunden ausverkauft jedes Jahr und wächst kontinuierlich. Muss ja ne Zielgruppe für geben. Nur weil man selber nicht (mehr) die Zielgruppe ist muss es ja no echt passe schlecht sein.
@@adrien1597, es ist das größte Metal-Shopping-Event. Ein Konsumfestival für Dullies, die das noch nicht geschnallt haben und sich freiwillig melken lassen.
