on my very first playthrough i actually went through the catacombs before o&s and "accidentally" killed the black knight to get the axe. used it to finish the game

I lived in Washington most my life, but moved to Arizona recently and hearing any temperature sub 100° sounds unreal for the summertime I spent 5 hours on my first Dark Souls 1 playthrough in the catacombs, getting farmed by black knights, and looking for the ladder to Undead Parish (?), I never found it and quit for a year, but I’ve now made it to the bed of chaos ^w^

I actually got a drop on the first try. Gotta say i was glad all throughout
You can get ~20k souls in Blighttown if you kill Mildred for about 9k and pick up 3x 3k soul items.
Also got it on my firstnplaythrough in 2012. Didnt stop using until i kept getting parried in pvp
