Love how this includes both the TV and movie versions of the attack theme. Wish they had done the same for the Crystal Star.

Aww its gourgous! I want it so bad but its way to much. I love how they hid the batteries its brilliant. I hope they make the pink moon stick and spiral heart moon rod.

Finally bought one at a convention! Can't wait to mess with it! Once I get the batteries of course.
I used to have the 93 one and I was about 5-6 when I got it years after it came out. I was so happy but lost it. It makes me so sad now.

Nice review It's so beautiful. I love the packaging of this one more than the Moon Stick. I have the Irwin Cutie Moon Rod from the 90s and plan on getting this one too.

I don't think I will buy it. It's too expensive and no real changes like we have with the Proplica Moon Stick. And I don't like the thin design. I prefer my old toy version. Thank you so much for showing it. It really helped me a lot with my decision.^^

I just purchased it at original price. Got an adrenaline rush cause it’s out of production, and the others on the market were 3 times the cost of the original. Crossing fingers it reaches me and has no defects!

I used to have this when I was a kid but the rod was broken and the stars was missing, you know when you are kid you tend to break stuffs . My mom used to buy this one for me and back then it was expensive I don't know how much was it but I think its cheaper in this year and since I'm an adult now I still want to have this and just collect them and display, I like your videos and sailor moon it really brings back memories when I went home early just to watch this anime.

I had almost all of them accept Venus and Jupiter and I got the same one you did, only it was from walmart and the sphear was Purple. I was PISSED because it didn't look EXACTLY like the one Sailor Moon had DX!!!

I'm curious if there is anyway to turn off the actual voices in it and just have the wands music. I know for the wand stick you can do that.

I love the new wand better then the old one because one it is made better, two it sounds a heck of a lot better than the old one, and three the old one is made for kids who are rough with their toys while the new is a collector one for people who take better care of their collection they love. I take care of my Pokémon Cards collection so much that half of the cards looks like they have never been taken out of the sleeve protector or the litte booklet.

Sailor Moon Collectibles is the cutie moon rod heavy? meaning, the moon stick proplica was very light and it felt like a cheap toy since it had like no weight. what about this proplica? is there weight? does it feel good to hold? or does it feel like a lightweight toy that could break if you dropped it just once?
BlueRacer2007 it's pretty heavy but all the weight is at the ball, so when you hold the bottom handle part it actually feels like it might snap if you wave too hard x_x

I'm from Chile (greetings from the end of the world hahaha) i want to buy this piece, but i'm quite worried about the shipping, the taxes and the arrival time (my proplica crystal star took around a month) so i was thinking on buying it around my place. It's a little expensive (150 dollars), but that would be safer and faster. My question is... Does it worth to pay that ammount for the rod, or should i buy it from the internet?? I would like to hear your thoughts.

Can you please tell me where did you order your Cutie Moon Rod from? I pre order mine from JList in July and I haven't heard any news of it being shipped and I'm getting worried. :/ and after watching this review I seriously can not contain myself! I just love this new item from the Proplica line!
They'll surely ship it soon.. I got mine from JList too and they shipped it like 2 days ago so yours should be shipped soon, I'm sure! Or else if you're worried just contact them directly..
I'm getting worried too since I also ordered in July. I have had complications using jlist in the past. None of my items were ever sent to me. I ended up talking to the vice president in person about this situation. So I feel you Carlos about getting nervous.
Yes I ordered mine in July as well and nothing so far! I do not have an account with them I just checked out as a guest but they gave me the order number and everything! Hopefully soon because if not I am going to have to contact them, I have tried tweeting JList on twitter several times and I have never gotten a response.
Yasmin Valderrama this is weird, I've ordered several times froms Jlist and I've always got my orders (I always use registered SAL tho).
I just found out from the Vice President that the people who did not recieve the wand yet will not be getting one till Decemeber since the first batch was a limited first come first served basis. So if you didnt recieve a shipping notice this week that means you are one of the unlucky ones who will not be able to get their one till December. Sadly I'm one of those unlucky ones.

jessjesssmashthings I'm not sure their values will grow, I feel like the Proplicas are a lot more accessible to buy compared to the 90s wands.

From what I've seen, they made a second batch for the moonstick (you can get them for a bit less its original price in some Japanese shops), Given only a few months passed since the release of the cutie moon rod, I'm betting they'll re-release it one more time at least. I mean they don't have to, but they're making bank from practically all over the world. Might as well Toei make that money than second-hand sellers for double-triple the price.

It needed a little bit of diecast because I don't think it's worth the retail price. It's awesome though. I think the $70 range would have been better.
just wait a few months you can now find the new Moon Stick online for $75 :)

+Nicodemus Octavianus --It deff is as who knows like 20 years down the road they could be worth something.. They will always be pricey regardless bc sailor moon is really popular and in demand thanks to the new series. Before talk of crystal and re-booting the 90s series you couldn't really find any "toys" And there would be better details etc compared to the original one.
Its deff bolder and better than the original. But nothing beats having an original :)

thank you for the review. i got mine yesterday and really it is a gorgeous one. however, i think im having some minor issue with mine, i tried to turned it on again today and the sequence on the 4th light doesnt finish at all. but yesterday it is fine. dont you think it is a battery issue as well? please reply.
