- I'm back with an old-school style unboxing for the Bandai Tamashii Nations Moon Stick Proplica from the classic anime, Sailor Moon. Let me know if you like this format! Anyway- Sailor Moon smacks us in the face once again with a recolor of an older toy- but hey- it's great for fans who missed out on the 2014 version! It's great for cosplay, and has fun LED lights and sounds (in Japanese). Check my older video review for a full demo!

I feel like the Original vs Brilliant Color call is similar to the whole 'pink tint' debate of the 90's anime digitizing. Some will ultimately prefer one over the other. I do wish we had the option to display the Moon Stick sideways ala the Tiare.
Between the original and brilliant colors of the Moon Stick, I feel like the Brilliant Color version expresses some Crystal's vibes from the manga & 2014 reboot with those colors while the original shows more colors of the 90s anime version. I do love both versions showing their own vibes and the Silver Crystal looks so much better clear from the new one than the original one. It's so crystalized like how it is in the anime.

9:42 now this one is probably something I would like to talk about while Sailor Moon actually did perform the moon healing escalation crystal version on screen from the 90s, queen serenity never did so that sound is… Actually prop exclusive

I got the Original Release back in 2022 by winning it in an Ebay Auction 👌🏼😎, works fine and everything. With this type of Version, people would probably just be like: “Oh it’s just the Original Proplica Moon Stick, but with a new coat of paint 🌙“

I have the previous version, after seeing the new one I still prefer it. I like the more vibrant pink and the crystal being so transparent the bulb shows on the new one bothers me lol.

I wish they were re-release this but have a little bit of a projector effect on it. You know just put a tiny hole somewhere where it’s not seen and then once you activate the attack you’ll see a giant yellow ring. Projected on the wall almost like you’re performing the attack.
I know that the kingdom hearts keep like did this projector effect and it would’ve been cool that the moon stick also did the projector effect so instead projecting a giant keyhole you’ll see a giant golden yellow ring appearing on the wall. The projector will be somewhere in the back of the moon stick where the speaker is

Part of me wishes they turned the gold parts into pearlescent/matte gold, not chrome-shiny gold. But I'm still getting it.

The only difference will be some additional English stickers on the bottom, and a silver Toei sticker on the front. The item is the same!

That’s a hard choice! It’s like choosing between a SUPER iconic item or a larger (and easier to justify the price) item. You can’t go wrong with either, but the Spiral wand had had fewer rereleases so- food for thought.

… no it isn’t? It’s a 2 piece tray. A top and a bottom. How is that to much plastic packaging? The depth of the tray is just about the same as the wand. And all the space is utilized. It’s very likely the same amount if not Less then if each piece just came individually wrapped in the box. The tray secures each piece and guarantees your item isn’t messed up when you get it. If they were just in the box even wrapped individually they would slide around hit into each other. There’s more chance for damage that way. And for an item I paid $50 for and had shipped to me from Japan. I’d be pissed if it came damaged and I had to go through the hassle of having to replaced.
