However, the differences are clearly in the citizens of the 2 nations. Portugal has around 11 million inhabitants and they all speak the same language and have the same national spirit. In Spain there are several regions that determine both different languages and different cultures. A Madrilenian is different from a Basque and a Catalan and they all speak different languages. No wonder more than 500 years ago we both split the world in two, being the parts only of the 2 kingdoms at the time. Greetings from Porto, Portugal.
