He Stopped Loving Her Today - George Jones cover by Tara Dunphy

Oh man, do I love this song! My husband played it for me many, many years ago while we were driving through Nashville. It was my first visit and he said "this song is going to break your heart" and he was right. We saw George Jones a number of times over the years and as soon as he would start into this song, the tears would begin to flow. I'm a sucker for a sad song! Thank you so much for this request, it was a fun one to sing and if definitely won't be the last time I do it.

Great rendition Tara - well done - it is my favourite country song - I also perform it too - have you seen the Tom Jones version? Better than George Jones in my opinion. Looking forward to your next song 🙂

Oh, I haven't heard the Tom Jones version but I'll look it up. I'm going to see him in concert in the fall, I can't wait - he is still sounding fabulous!
