Hey, have you considered sending a code to Northernlion and Dan Gheesling. Both of them seem like western streamers/youtubers who would like your game. Both of these streamers loves game that distill mechanics down to their raw state, with simple mechanics that lead to complex actions, and Dan sometimes does a new games Thursday stream. The dev of SNKRX wrote a blog post about what happened when Dan discovered his game. Obviously, no guarantee they play your game, but hey, these are some western streamers you may want to target.

Keep up the great work, would really like to see how you'd fare with some of the other "adult content games with great gameplay" out there on steam (even if you end up having to censor stuff out) I think those games need to be talked about more (only if you're comfortable with it of course) since a lot of people underestimate or disregard them as just "the games with sex and nothing else of value". Personal favorite and one I would recommend if you like Castlevania would be Midnight Castle Succubus, since that one has a sfw mode on the steam release

Good Knight is a pleasant surprise so far. I was skeptical at first with the whole one button gimmick but it really does feel fun and intuitive (also Pinoy Pride!!!!111!). Was disappointed with EDF Wing Diver too, love the main games.

Were just relying on word of mouth from the fans due to the lack of budget. But success is coming hopefully.

I was a little disappointed you didn't cover Steel Vampire a little more. I found the contacting enemy ships doesn't damage you and the closer you are, the more damage your weapons cause really fun in creating super aggressive play. I'll admit that the upgrades are a cryptic. I'm still not sure what all the stats effect. Still, I found Steel Vampire an easyish, fun power-fantasy shmup.
Dariusburst yeah is probably the most expensive shoot em up BUT man the many hours i put in that game is totally worth and the true final level is probably the most loong shoot em up ever made , and the song Freedom is good i love it
The Psi in Psikyo is pronounced like the psy in psychic (the Japanese name is saikyou). And a much more minor correction: Dodonpachi is only a wordplay for gunfire sound. The bee part comes from the meaning of the kanji (hachi = bee), not the sound. For the games themselves, I've only played three of them here. Hellsinker is definitely a game that requires a guide to get you on your feet ASAP, before you can appreciate its genius. This is definitely not a game you want to play blind. DFK is also the most beginner-friendly game in the DDP series, so it's a pretty good starting point for CAVE games. Dragon Blaze is very fun but also quite brutal. As with Psikyo ports, consider emulating them for lower input lag. It is pretty crucial for fast-paced games which Psikyo are known for. Solid video and recommendations!
I dunno if youre still taking recommendations but Cosmo Dreamer and Super XYX are two that I seriously recommend, the former has an amateurish art direction but its still really solid and the latter SLAPS with the soundtrack Also since you liked Eschatos and you have a thing for customizing your ships, the next 2 Qute games, Ginga Force and ESPECIALLY Natsuki Chronicles will scratch that itch Also they have the same composer so even more bangers

That game lost me at the settings screen before the game even booted up. - Anger Force Reloaded's been on my wishlist for years. Might have to pick that one up. - Interesting to see some positive feedback on the City Connection/Zerodiv Psikyo ports. They seem to get a bad rap from a lot of enthusiasts. I've only ever tried the aforementioned wack port/remake of Zero Gunner 2, which... yeah, it's wack. Suggestions: - Paid: Bullet Soul: Infinite Burst. Decent game, if a little mindless. Lots of wailing guitars if that's your thing. Sort of like if Dynasty Warriors were a shmup. - Free: Jigoku Kisetsukan: Sense of the Seasons. Nice enough Touhou-inspired game. Not a bad time for zero dollars. You're running out of things I haven't gotten around to myself! Super late on commenting, but great roundup as usual. Much enjoyed.
I really wanna play Dariusburst Chronicle Saviors but what ever i do the game just won't launch and the .exe just hangs, have to close it with taskmanager :(
There's not much left is it? You should cover some more obscure titles outside Steam like Battle Traverse. There are also some great porn shmups (with sfw versions) like RumbleStorm or Yakouga 4 (from the guy who made Steel Vampire and Maidens of a Hollow Dream).
Black Bird, Ginga Force, Natsuki Chronicles, R-Type Final 2, Psyvariar. Trust me. I can squeeze out at least one more next year. But I'll log your recommendations. Thanks for watching!

Might I suggest Unit Select and Stage 6 from Exzeal and Stage 1 from XIIZEAL? Also, potentially scratch the 'Ray series'? For some reason, I thought the HD remaster of RayStorm and/or RayCrysis were on Steam.
@@ASkeleton Yeah, takes a while to get used to. There are several versions that you can play (Arcade, Genesis, Game Gear etc), you might find something to your liking (I liked arcade version from Yakuza 0) But then, do play Black Bird
I love shmups but my reflexes and sight are getting bad with age... all devs should include accessibility options like infinite continues and easy mode for all of us white beared ancient combat pilots.

Try star parodia for the turbo cd, its a great easier shooter.
try Soldier Blade on PC Engine ,its pretty easy to beat
