These people spent their lives in relevancy the way I wish I had when I was younger. I admire them more than business people, artists, sports figures, lawyers. They should be in positions of leading us but don't seem to need that sort of Power.

To be honest the concept of evolution is actually quiet far from what she did...a precise environment with a precise destination point and planned interference and millions of planned mutations... congratulations to her 👏

A 'toast for evolution' sounds too ambiguous, probably she meant 'the science of evolution' . The last part of the toast 'so we could use it well', sounds more appropriate. But I'm afraid, it lies beyond her and her colleagues' control. Despite their best intention, many advances in science, including 'evolution and chemistry', can be be abused (turned into 'weapons of terror'), not only by conventional 'evil doers' (ISIS), but by profit-seeking corporations and our 'elected governments' as well.

The opposite of the current situation.
But, of courses, it's not going to happen as even this "highly intelligent" lady thinks ships and cars are propelled by "diversity".

actually, i think she exactly had eugenics in mind when she talked about this. i really love her toast exactly because of it. knowledge from evolutionary biology could be taken wrongly and lead to terrible consequences. and it actually has happened, just look it up if youre curious.

"we can also explore paths that nature will never explore ... fix the carbon in our atmosphere, cure disease, make us younger, more beautiful" Does she have a god complex or what's wrong with her? She speaks like Sheldon Cooper in TBBT. When did she have her last reality check? Spending the whole day with some seedy scientists in their clubhouse must have led to these science fiction fantasies.

WOW... There is nothing to believe. It's people with brains who can read the hundreds of texts/studies/peer reviewed articles said scientists have written over years and years that we understand and recognize as PROOF. Easy to bash science when you have 1 brain cell. Stay in school.

@@cycloneranger5354 i love science and i love Jesus. Jesus gives u brain that is excellent in science. Never forget that science still failed to explain or to solve and after all the evolutions, there will still some "errors" and limitations exist there.
