Probably worth mentioning that you can use the App without the device if you are the phone on the handlebars type. It will still do the same things and you can still choose whether to pay for the subscription or not. The devices themselves are great for the minimalist that still wants to have guidance on the bars without the phone.
I saw another review and he actually phoned Beeline to have the pay-for-voice explained and the reason is that the current solution is costing Beeline money. It may be an option that will be standard in the future and any standard option will be forever free in the device - says Beeline.
I just put in an order for this for one really amazing feature it has! You can set the destination, but only have a compass showing the way. That way you can drive however you want, and where you want, but will always know the direction you should be going!

This thing is awesome I just got mine and love the fun road options and the route generator I didn’t realize all the fun super curvy roads around my area here in western Kentucky farm towns and it’s small size fits perfect on my 22 Kawasaki z900 it’s so small if u weren’t looking for it u would never kno it’s there I was really wanting a smart display with Apple CarPlay, but on a Z900there is nowhere to mount it unless you remove the OEM speedometer which I would imagine is a huge pain, but this still lets me have navigation on my handlebars without my phone that I can physically see and not just hear through my cardo and I don’t have to worry about my iPhone cameras getting messed up anymore

People are having their phones stolen even while they're driving their cars, let alone riding motorcycles. I know it is pricey, but it's still cheaper than buying a new phone.
- because it looks less intrusive than a phone (especially on classic bikes) - because you can push the buttons with gloves - because the phone doesn't overheat and the battery last longer - because you can use it in the rain I'm simply buying it for the looks. I just don't want a big (phone or otherwise) screen on my bike, but I'm completely lost without navigation system. So beeline helps here. I think the "elastic" bands could be replaced with silicone O-rings if they start to get old and brittle or break down. I've been tempted to try this device out so kind of looking forward to your feedback.
In Man Cave Moto's video about it he mentioned that he asked the developers why the audio navigation (and other features) are behind a subscription pay wall and they basically said that the device has a cost per usage from the service which they have to pay. since they aren't a big company that can cover the service cost universally it unfortunately has to fall on the user. but with enough support from investors and consumers they hope to provide it for free in the future or in the next iteration.
Can you give some insight into the awesome road or not so awesome road feature. It's a must for me, as some roads turn to poo, too narrow of covered in moss etc, so I need to know how the function works for marking that road as BAD, and when I'm on the great road that I want to ride again, marking that at GOOD. once marked, how do you recall this information???
Not wanting my phone on the handlebars is the main user case for me. The price is a bit spendy for a device reliant on the phone for its functionality… the paywall subscription for voice turn by turn instructions is BS too. I like the form factor and capabilities for my sport bike rides closer to home.
If you need your phone anyway, which can run Wayz and tell you hazards and police with GPS direction you may as well buy a mount and use that anyway. You'd spend far less and not have to charge two separate devices.
The subscription killed it for me, voice instruction should be included for free. This way its way to expensive. I will keep using the TomTom rider. With almost all the same functions.

I think a good case would be if you do not want your phone exposed to elements during riding or if riding some place where it is close to 100 degrees having your phone on the bars in sunlight could cause it to overheat (especially if on a charge) so with the beeline you could keep your phone in a pocket or tank bag and cooler.
