I can during snowstorm sit in my house with fireplace, cup of coffee, and bible, enjoying snow since I live out in the countryside with nearest neighbor 1/2 mile away . No need to camp in it but here in northern pa we seek to camp in warm weather for winter.

On cold days in South Africa 🇿🇦, we turn to vetkoek and mince, an oxtail potjie or "mother in law" hot curry bunny chows. It's always interesting to hear about another countries Winter favourite foods are. Your meals 😋 look delish! But..boy oh boy it looks freezing 🥶 outside. Its weird how children shrug off the cold and just enjoy everything. They carry on regardless. Your son has really beautiful eyes and is a handsome chappy. I cannot knit at all and wow, there you knitted up a pair. So jealous. Bet you enjoyed the camp and wish you many more.

Emergency mittens = pair of socks with plastic bag over them and then use either tape or hair tie around wrists.

Great videos! What a wonderful way to camp out and make memories with your family Just wondering because I want to do more off grid camping and my motorhome furnace isn't very good (I have a 1998 motorhome). Have you explored the Olympian Wave 8 heater or the Journey 8 propane heater and if so what are your thoughts? I was thinking about getting one or the other but you seem to know a lot about camping upgrades and thought I would ask. Thank you for the great content you put out especially since you are upgrading an older RV and I am just getting started on trying to upgrade mine.

Thanks! We were just on the very edge of the forest (like 2 miles in) and did have service. I can imagine that deeper in there’s less reliable service. & nice to ‘meet’ you guys!

It's 2021 and I still haven't sat down to watch the new/ old Star Wars films with my son and his dad. Never has there been uttered more of a spoiler since Homer scampered out of the cinema and let everyone around him ( including the line to go in ) know how shocked he was that Darth Vader was Lukes father! haha

I am loving your son’s color block jacket! We just camped in the desert with our family, and my 2 year old grandson’s jacket made it difficult to see him at night. The color variation of the white, grey, green, etc., makes it easy to quickly put your eyes on him. What brand is it? Thanks!

Thanks so much! It’s been great. Ours had 55k miles and runs great mechanically. Definitely check out the front suspension and make sure it’s been maintained. If the previous owners didn’t keep the airbags inflated they can collapse and over time ruin the other components. Ask me how I know! - Casey

Definitely thought about this after the fact. Even before we do that, sealing off the cab would have made a huge difference-it’s not we’ll insulated up there.
