@TheYammerHammer If that was actually the case, how did he get so many other volunteers for this rescue? Dave expects his team to work hard, and they respect him for it. From experience I know that when you get that many people together working on something like this it can be hard getting them to actually stop when their body is pleading for them to. Even in the last video you could see Dave checking that everyone was good and didn't need anything, he even said that if they needed to stop due to being tired or cold, he'd get them back to the lodges they were staying at. Carrying on working when you are over tired and getting colder and wetter as you go can kill and Dave knows that. In future, please can you try to think before putting in a less then sensible statement like that? Thanks

Everyone involved in this volunteer mission did so with such a positive attitude, and knowing that gratitude would be their only payment, still worked hard, long hours, and did all they could to help people who were stuck in their homes for over two weeks. The logistics alone are overwhelming but yet overcome by very smart men with boots on the ground. You are all a great influence on others and fantastic leaders, now that we see how your peers jumped in to help out and get the job done by working together. You are all absolutely the best of America!

I couldn't even begin to imagine how many things got wrecked while doing this rescue. I only get five six feet of snow a year and I still ruin stuff with my blower, and plow buried in snow at my own place!!!

Spray the inside of those snow blower chutes with some PAM(spray vegetable oil) from the kitchen so it clog up when you stop.

Thank you, guys. Here’s a big task for big guys with big machines😉. Why don’t you guys start a Rescue Force for the nation? Like a Peace Corps that serves at home. The South has the Cajun Navy for floods. Now we see the whole country needs what you guys did on a larger scale. We have medical and Red Cross for health needs, Fire and Police have their designated areas, governors can deploy their National Guard, but the area you helped had all those capabilities yet the niche you filled was vacant. So. Let’s fill it. Someone has to start a national Rescue Force. Why not you? Blessings on all of you and your work.
Who will pay for it? Just because Dave is so generous and was able to rally others for this much needed mission, it is not something that he and others can afford to do as volunteers all the time.

how to video for how to become a legend in an area. Great job!
I understand the feeling of accomplishment after spending hours shoveling snow just on my own property. This year in the Twin Cities we have been pounded with 80 + inches of snow with rain before or after the snow falls. The only time I have plugged up my blower is the weight of the wet snow was so much that once I cleared out the top of the opening, it could push the rest out. I have learned that before shutting off the auger, let it run a minute or so until you no longer get snow out the chute and that way it will be good to go when you start up again. One thing that will help keep the snow from plugging up the inside of the blower assembly is to spray it with a product like fluid film. I use on my mordex also. It can be bought in 5-gallon containers with a sprayer to apply it. It is amazing how well it works. Also on the sleds you built for your trailer it will help make it slide. But you had mentioned that you had that stuff you put on that I believe was similar to your airboat. By the way fluid film would also help get Dave out of the cat
.Id run the exhaust into the discharge..There fore heating the snow and melting the clogs that keep forming ..JS..Great job guys...
