That is so relatable. I think this might be one of the greatest unifying factors that we, as Indians, might have. Using those tiny log tables with that fat R.D. Sharma book!!!!

I am used to .log tables back from 7th standard in advance maths.
It was pretty hard but interesting.
Those questions can b solved by a 7th standard people easily.
That guy who said that I am on 1 out of 10...was really expecting rd shama type of questions.. while took medical I am missing maths ..😇❤

People forget we gave infinity too. Nobody mentions it though. The Rigveda describes infinity in the following verse:
sa bhumiM vishwato vritwa atyatishthaD dashangulaM. (Second pada of Purusha Sukta). The interpretation is when the Purusha with his 1000's of heads & 1000's of hands stands up a 10th of a finger is always outside the space that is occupied by it.

Every single math concepts have an origin in Bharat not just 0. Therefore, we bharatiya must know math in and out.
Math taught me to be logical.
Growing up in India and going to school with my classmates I can without a doubt say this is true. They were my go to guys. What more can I say.

Man if i didn't know how to add 15+6.I think all people i know would beat me to death. (Note-I am from India, Kerala)
6:27 That's true 😅😅 . Just like 7+6=? So we calculate like: Double of 7 is 14 and 6 is 1 less than 7 so addition should be 1 less than the doubled number (14) which is 13. And guess what... we take overall just 5 to 10 seconds to get it. 😅😅

I did Physics Honrs from Delhi U and we did not us calc. I started using calc when I joined my first job.
My son is in 8th grade and he doesn't use calc for his maths. So it's a big no for calculator in schools

Those questions are essentially learnt by us like it's in our muscle memory.The time they are taking really made me irritated.I mean we don't even need to calculate those answers except a few.I mean some of them took so much time.

Its the good education system in India which promotes more mental and brainy stuff. We have to memorize and do almost everything by mental calculations and mental memory

India has taught mathematics to the world. Great mathematicians like Aryabhata, Ramanujan, Shankutla Devi are born in our country.🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
In india while giving entrance exam for CA u r allowed only basic calculator on which addition subtraction can be done but the sums in exam are on log integration derivatives permutations and combination where basic calculator can't help you .you have to use technique skill shortcuts to solve sum that's why result of students passing in CA is low

We are good in everything....
Being good at algebra doesn't mean you are good at maths....algebra is just a small part of maths that helps solving calculations ...thats why calculators were made (to ease that part)...But still i believe india has way many mathematicians who are great at maths beyond algebra....its just that algebra shouldn't be the part to decide someones ability of being good at maths....there are many mathematicians who are bad at algebra...
