I feel for you, Em, when you say you felt shy talking to the people who visited your beautiful booth. I have done only about 8 market events and I get those butterflies still. My 34 years in front of a classroom of 13-year-olds does help, but sales are a bit different, and selling what you create is so personal. I am learning so much by watching you put a picture together. It has been such a mystery to me up till now. Thank you for making these videos. I can't wait to make a collage using your method!

This was such a sweet video, I am glad the market went well for you! Hot-sauce-guy sounds like a confident salesman but I would be just like you haha. You're right in assuming other people also don't like it when sellers try to start a conversation. Nothing worse than feeling obligated to buy something just because the seller is nice to you 🥲. If i would see you at a market I would totally spend all my budget on your collages hihi✨

Hi Em you need to get out in the woods more they are acorn cups, and very cute, also you can needlefelt everything together without use of glue, apart from the acorn cups, but it is very time consuming, love your work, your very dedicated. Good luck with your art fair

Well done with your art show! Your display looked lovely and attractive and I’m glad you made your sales goal. Art fairs are tricky- I’ve done a few in the past. It’s hard to know when a potential customer wants to interact with you and when they just want to browse on their own. I’m sure you’ll figure it out! ☺️ You have beautiful and whimsical products that would charm anyone!

They look like the top of acorns! We have a tree in our yard. I could mail you some! Good thing you didn't get the bottoms too and save them. My daughter stored a bunch in her room once and we ended up with boring beetle larvae everywhere in her room haha 😂

Your stall looks great! I have to face the public a lot showing my weaving and dyeing at historical reenactment events. I usually start with a cheery hello, then wait to see if they seem interested before talking some more 😊

Gorgeous work as always. Do you think you would ever consider selling some prints of your sketchbook pages. I always admire your planning/progress sketches.

It's OK to have different sales tactics, if I was looking at prints and someone approached me I'd walk the other way. :D Hot sauce needs people to try it, you need people to enjoy it and make up their own mind. The art was gorgeous and I'd kill for one of those mice.

Such a beautiful, well thought out display! Where was the fair Emily and did it have a lot of foot fall? I did a craft fair at one time and hardly anyone turned up! The only customers were the other stall holders! 😂 At least you have experienced this one. Could you mention you was on portrait artist of the year with a little bio about you on the stall? That may encourage people to come over. You could even have a folder with some of your work on display in it. I am sure your confidence will grow the more you do the fairs. ☺

You need for the two twigs on the sides : 2 Tube Sadle Clamps and 4 screws to attach to the board. Glue wont do any good

I share your concerns about talking. I'm such an introvert because I enjoy my own company and my alone artwork. When it's time to talk, I'm at a loss for words, and even find people annoying and ignorant to the amount of time and energy that goes into what an artist does. They want a deal instead. By having all things labeled with a price tag helps keep the conversations from going on too long and is straight to the point and another buying customer just may have walked up and I missed them. And no deals, except where posted. You work is quite lovely and deserving.
