When I first read the original story of Orpheus & Eurydice back in like 6th grade, I remember I was so mad I went on a whole rant about it to my mom, lol.
to be fair unlike the actual story where she just dies and he turns around because hes stupid then he goes on to sing a song so sad its killing people until the townsfolk kill him, in the play she betrayed him even if due to hunger, there was already crack of doubt which the darkness and distance (and the fates) exploited, she left him for hades town once and she can do it again
I'm literally crying man. The final frame is just so gorgeous, and the way they sing that last "we will" makes my heart melt Also, I agree in that THIS IS THE ENDING OF THE MUSICAL AND NO ONE CAN CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE (tho Eva's verse in Wait for Me II keeps being iconic, of course)
AND THIS WAS THE END THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE (Okay but I actually love the end. The fact they made you hope you so hard for a different ending than the one you know of is masterful.)
El final tengo entendido que ella se queda en la cueva donde estan las minas, pero porque la última canción del musical recarcan que Orpheus fue el que mas sufrio, es decir, Eurydice fue la que se quedo en ese lugar, después de haberse alegrado y se habia ilusionado de volver rstar con su amado😅
