- Squall and Rinoa are not their parents and neither are you. Here's how the love story of Final Fantasy VIII breaks the cycle of trauma.
Music as always by @EnricoDeianamusic (thank you!!)

Nice editing and very well explained.
I always found it a bit weird for people to suggest that Squall and Rinoa are together because their parents should have been.
I really like your reasoning that Laguna and Julia loved what they represented, but the person themselves.
Amazing video! Love the insight here. ❤
thank you! glad you enjoyed!
This video needs 10 trilion visuals
God, I hope they give VIII the remake treatment next.
Beautifully done. Thank you for this!
Lovely video. The more I learn about Final Fantasy VIII the more I appreciate it. There's so much going on that went completely over my head.
@@Benseventysevenmillion thanks so much! I feel the same. Just when I think I know everything about the game I always find something new that surprises me!
Loving the person vs loving the idea of loving a person.
Never really gave this idea a proper thought
i think its actually a really underlooked aspect of final fantasy viii - laguna, rinoa and arguably julia all have to let go of the idea of someone they 'love' in order to find true love in the end.
Ok so ive been really looking forward till your next video since watching the first one.
Its so great to see someone talking up this game, and i personally always resonated with the Raine/Laguna relationship as a kid.
I was wondering if you'd like to come on our podcast and chat Final Fantasy stuff/your content as i think it would be quite fun :D. Let us know if you'd be up for it - Jack
