Definitely agree about Rory's Dance potentially being one of the best of the season. In regards to the worst, I would've gone with the Breakup Part 2, but It's good to know for my retrospective.

Fun Fact: 'Gilmore Girls' was the book, and TV series, that Rory wrote that glossed over ALL of the horrible tragedies and misfortunes that happened during the years that Rory spent growing-up. The "Year In The Life" series showed exactly who Rory was: a spoiled child of privilege.
@@sjc1737 She may have said that and we as the audience have to take her at her word. Having said that: The Artist's intent is not the same as how the work was received. Amy was wrong in her interpretation.
True Rory was always told by every1 around her how wonderful she was even when she could be the most rotten person…how many times can someone commit adultery & still not get it??? Lorelei was never a mother in regards to Rory’s terrible choices ie “sleeping with Dean when he was married” or her little hissy fit she threw when Mitchum Huntzberger gave her a bit of constructive criticism granted it was the 1st day & Logan’s family (apart from his sister Honor) SUCK she could’ve used that as fuel to prove him wrong but instead she becomes a whiny spoiled baby whom Emily & Richard indulged against Lorelei’s wishes so she wound up proving him right as far as that terrible continuation goes…
I didn't mind Max too much, he was a good guy, BUT I, too, shipped Lorelai with Luke from the very beginning too and its obvious from the show's opening episode being on Luke and Lorelai and their interaction, that they were probably going to be the end goal. its why most fans dislike the last season ( even the creator of the show. she at least got to do what she wanted to do with the show's eding with the 'Year In The Life' (SPOILER) with Lorelai ad Luke being together and marrying and the ending with Rory's final words to Lorelai. she wasn't able to be there for the last season, I heard, for reasons she couldn't get out of but they were already signed up for another(final) season.
I heard it was because she needed a team to help her & her husband with the writing but the studio wouldn’t provide it so they left only for a TEAM of writers to take over anyway so it was all just ridiculous
I liked Max but I knew they weren’t going to end up together and that was okay with me. My least favorite boyfriend of Lorelei’s was the lawyer dude. He was just way off and they were very ill suited. I got a bad vibe from him. I kept expecting him to be a con man or something like that.

I might be late to this, i don't like getting attached to past relationships as they have most ended in pain, but i do have a box for my latest ex, and i am kind of glad as it in a way gives closure:)
When I first watched the show (on the air), I was seeing things from Rory's perspective. As I got older, I saw it from Lorelei's, and now I'm a bit of an Emily sympathizer.
If you find Max Medina to be FINE (especially right around this time) and if you enjoy fairy tales at all go watch the mini series The 10th Kingdom. Scott Cohen plays a half wolf, is so sexy and has so much personality! Great character. Would love if you watch for the channel but either way please watch
Are you thinking about adding this show to your channel? (Not sure if you’ve watched it yet in its entirety) I’d totally be on board, as would many others. (Also, I haven’t yet watched the video, so don’t come at me for seemingly stupid questions) 😮 BUT, Not many are reacting to this show so you would have a monopoly on Gilmore territory. 😉
I want to watch Gilmore Girls... Me: No, I don't have 40 mins rn, I have to study Also me: proceeds to watch a 40-minute commentary to Gilmore Girls...
I didn’t mind that she wound up getting married but what was incredibly stupid was the way the “wedding night” was portrayed & then she was pregnant right away much of the writing sucked for that s/l
I love your video, but respectfully I disagree about the Sookie and Jackson take where “arguing is their thing.” In the course of the series they are so frickin lovey dovey it’s borderline nauseating. Plus the arguing is about vegetables and usually resolves with a laugh and smile - in contrast to our favorite characters who constantly fight whether they are together or not and end up storming off and screaming. Arguing is Luke and Lorelai’s thing, not Jackson and Sookie. Still love your whole reaction and energy though. Blessings.
"Paris is burning" is so not the worst episode of Season 1. I would say "Christopher returns" is the worst and the two that follows that "Star-Crossed Lovers and Other Strangers" and "The Breakup part 2" are way worse...
idk man Emily is so mean to Lorelai! I truly don't know how people can support/sympathize with Emily lol she's awful. Lorelai is her daughter and she's so critical and mean, not supportive, and her "trying" is her wanting everything to be her way. team anyone but Emily lmao!
I agree she & Richard always tried to control her they never cared about her as her own individual nor did they ever bother to get to know her in any way shape or form so instead she had to fit their stupid little Gilmore mold & when that didn’t work they lashed out @ her via the use of controlling behavior gaslighting manipulation & criticism to which then Emily would get upset because she kept repeating the same crap over & over & be told by both Lorelei & Rory ad nauseam that’s not how it works so she’s throw a fit & wonder why they didn’t want to spend any time with her Richard was very passive & unsupportive & let Emily do as she pleased while both pretended nothing was wrong…they demanded apologies when they themselves never apologized for all their wrongdoings as though they were somehow justified in their terrible behavior because Lorelei was their daughter & how many times were they going to throw it in her face that she got pregnant @ 16??? Get over it & move on already granted Lorelei & Rory could be pretty rotten as well but I certainly wouldn’t want the Gilmores as my parents

I don't even mind the show saying that, I just wish they actually spent time showing Rory and Jess having a relationship beyond kissing and fighting, because that's what it felt like when they actually got together
@@stuffwithsoph8264 I just can’t stop agreeing with your sensible comments!!! You’re one of the few ppl who’s actually rational & sees Lorelei’s pov as Rory’s mother…Jess was troubled & angry & Liz was a TERRIBLE parent I honestly could’ve done w/o her or T.J. Lorelei was nothing if not civil with Jess & only tried to be polite to him but his 1st instinct was to be an ass to every1 & honestly the only reason so many excuses were made for his atrocious behavior is because they considered him good looking…he never even tried to befriend Lorelei or even get remotely involved in any of Rory’s interests…he was a bad influence plain & simple…he never seemed to contribute anything to relationship it was all “take” & no “give” with Jess…imo on paper w/o looking @ Jess’s appearance I 100% believe ppl would be able to see that he was a rotten person objectively speaking…his growth was great & I’m glad he was able to move past everything coz his life was so rough but he was no good to Rory especially hated how the attempted coercion/rape was glossed over & honestly a lot of poor writing all around after the Rory Jess s/l because they cut down Rory & Dean’s characters for a mere plot device in favor of a more organic growth for the 2
ahh one of my all time favourite shows!!! its so comforting to me!! ngl but i cant help but love dean atleast at the first couple seasons i just cant help it tbh
It’s so good 😭😭
I did love dean in season 1 but over time I hated him
@@angelaholmes8888 me too!
Max wasnt the best of Lorelais love interest but he wasnt the worst either, did everyone forget about Digger?????
Emily sympathizer here ✌🏼 also, this video is everything I ever needed! TH-cam is cruel for not letting me listen to the theme song; thankfully, I can definitely sing along!
100% agree with you on Chad Michael Murray!! Like him in this first season of Gilmore Girls or in A Cinderella Story was utter perfection!!
This is everything to me. Loved this commentary Rebecca! ❤️
why the max banter? I loved him so much. the only two times I cried were when him and Lorelei broke up in the cafe & when Rory told him she wanted him to be his stepdad
i liked dean but then jess happened
I love jess 😘😍🥰🤩
Jess was such an ass overrated & overhyped
TRUTH lmao. Lorelei said it perfectly: Dean was the perfect 1st bf but.. everyone wants a bad boy.
I loved Season 1 Dean, he was such a cutie. They ruined his character so much in the later seasons.
You should watch supernatural lol it has Jared in it and he plays a character named Sam but his brother in the show is Dean so it’s kinda funny
Yes that's a great idea
This was my comfort show when I was studying pharmacy, it kept the breakdowns at bay 🤣 I had the biggest crush on Dean 🥰
Yes Jared was really handsome in season 1 of Gilmore girls
i love gilmore girls!! You should definitely do this with each season!!
Only 7min in and already obsessed 🌷 While I don’t agree about Dean, I definitely do about Emily. My mom and I watched this show together growing up and I’m forever a sucker for complex but overall loving mother daughter stories!
You definitely should continue doing reactions of Gilmore girls 💯🙂
I actually like Max, he gave wholesome dad energy but he wasn't right for Lorelai
I had the biggest crush on Chad Michael Murray you can imagine the absolute shock when I found out he is my parents age
im on my third round rewatching the show and lemme tell you, my opinions on characters have changed so much. i have to come to despise rory and slightly dislike lorelai
I concur although I can still stand to watch Lorelei Rory bugs me immensely
i had a boyfriend box when i was in high school and college. but i realized it allowed me to wallow in the past for far too long. and look at bad relationships with rose-colored glasses sooooo 0/10 would not recommend lol
Im so happy you made this reaction one of my favorite shows 💙
Yes your reaction and your love for the show makes it 10x better please do more Gilmore girls reactions! ❤️
Plz do this with all the Gilmore girl seasons! this was a great video
I have a "girlfriend box". I think throwing stuff/destroying stuff from a past relationship can be kinda immature. Unless that relationship was super toxic and all trash.
Also, not you starting to like and dislike Dean because of his hair and not...y'know his anger issues, jealousy, etc.
you’re my spirit animal fucccc i loved this this was so good you’re amazing
WE NEED MORE GILMORE GIRLS IT IS LITREALY SUPERIOR
I think chad Michael murray by season 5 and 6 was already on the show one tree hill
when rewatching the show i am always glad when we are past dean.
Yeah me too 💯
Definitely agree about Rory's Dance potentially being one of the best of the season. In regards to the worst, I would've gone with the Breakup Part 2, but It's good to know for my retrospective.
As an english teacher in the making, all of my classmates are like that. English teacher. That's it. With the amount of reading we have to do there's no time left for anything else lmao.
Yeah I was a supporter of dean in the early seasons but after season 3 I really hated him
yea dean got all clingy and then we had jess so I dont blame ya
I didn't have a box, but I had a scrapbook of cards, that unfortunately I do not have now.
I had one but it was kind of like a mind box in my mind which sometimes my mind opens it back up then I have to go through all that baggage.
Hi Rebecca hope you are having an great and awesome weekend 😀
I love your reaction! Its like hanging out, because you leave the scenes longer in. But I would love a more cozy light? The switches between the Series and your Talking would be smoother! It would be more cozy. :D
I randomly came across this your channel (it was a suggested ) and I just wanted to say I love your haircut!! You are gorgeous to start off with but the haircut just adds to it!🤩. Anyhow hope you have a fabulous day! Gilmore girls is my guilty pleasure show all though both Rory and lorelia drive me crazy at different times😅
this was fun! pls do more of that, you can also compare theme episodes like thanksgiving, christmas and such, it'll be awesome and wholesome :D
Fun Fact: 'Gilmore Girls' was the book, and TV series, that Rory wrote that glossed over ALL of the horrible tragedies and misfortunes that happened during the years that Rory spent growing-up. The "Year In The Life" series showed exactly who Rory was: a spoiled child of privilege.
literally
No. Amy Sherman Palladino--the creator of Gilmore Girls--has stated that this is not true.
@@sjc1737 She may have said that and we as the audience have to take her at her word. Having said that: The Artist's intent is not the same as how the work was received. Amy was wrong in her interpretation.
@@p0pp4 Amy is often wrong. 🤣 I sincerely hope there isn't a part 2 of AYITL.
I didn't like max for lorelei she's better off with luke to me 🤔🙂
i love this, i need this content for each season🤩
Broke: _____________ is the red flag. (Insert guy of your choice here.)
Woke: RORY is the red flag
True haha
no
I liked Max but I knew they weren’t going to end up together and that was okay with me. My least favorite boyfriend of Lorelei’s was the lawyer dude. He was just way off and they were very ill suited. I got a bad vibe from him. I kept expecting him to be a con man or something like that.
you mean Jason. he was so dull Luke was better for her.
i meaaannn i definitely dont disagree, dean is soo fine with his hair and whatever, but still we dont support dean. I never fully liked any of the guys on this show exept for luke, all of them were very annoying at times
I love Gilmore girls. It’s top tier. I’ve watched it 8 times so far and I don’t plan on stopping!!!!
I have to agree with you dean with that hair and the outfits THE TURTLENECKS also had me in a choke hold I couldn’t look away
omgsh please keep doing this love this content
Lorelei treated Max horribly. I think if she had given him a chance, he would have been great for her, but she refused to let anyone in
I just turned 27 years old two days ago. I went to Golden Corral and to a movie
one of my fav shows ever!!!!!!!! i love this
38:50 well I mean the least rated episode is the one where they break up and the one where he proposes is in the top rated so not sure if your logic is correct haha. But I would love to see more Gilmore Girls on this channel!
I might be late to this, i don't like getting attached to past relationships as they have most ended in pain, but i do have a box for my latest ex, and i am kind of glad as it in a way gives closure:)
27:09 I grew up in a little town very much like Stars Hallow and it was awesome.
When I first watched the show (on the air), I was seeing things from Rory's perspective. As I got older, I saw it from Lorelei's, and now I'm a bit of an Emily sympathizer.
Your reaction to the background music is my reaction to the intro song. The more I hear it, the more I hate it!
best and worst episode reaction might be fun if you ever do a show I know. I'll list some if you ask
I hope you do the rest of the seasons!
(Not sure if you’ve watched it yet in its entirety)
I’d totally be on board, as would many others.
(Also, I haven’t yet watched the video, so don’t come at me for seemingly stupid questions) 😮
BUT, Not many are reacting to this show so you would have a monopoly on Gilmore territory.
😉
I wish i could rewatch this show for the first time
Max and Dean were hella hot, and Max was pretty decent but he just ain't Luke or Christopher who are the ONLY people who could end up with Lorelai
I want to watch Gilmore Girls...
Me: No, I don't have 40 mins rn, I have to study
Also me: proceeds to watch a 40-minute commentary to Gilmore Girls...
I think dean was the perfect first boyfriend for Rory. I am team logan all the way😍
Dean had to many red flags for Rory.
Scott Cohen has his time on ship in 10th Kingdom, but GG is Luke/Lorelai shipping only
I feel like you coulda just given us a strictly verbal recap the way you talked over every clip 🥲
I 100% have a boyfriend box… but we got back together so ig it’s for the best that I kept it.
OMG I just finished watching the whole show, loved it!!
OMG my comfort show
You are such a fan girl and I’m here for it. 😅
I kept a boyfriend box after a breakup almost totally as a result of Lorelai's advice in this episode 🤣
I have an ex best friend box, it does its job when I need to cry, or the 7 times we made up after the first time I made it
ONE FOR EVERY SEASON BABE
Ok I h e the same theory about Tristan and Logan. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard it from someone official but at this point I have no idea
And yes!! Lane is the BEST and she got done so dirty!
Blessings.
GILMORE GIRLS :)))) it’s my favourite show
Also I have a collective boyfriend box. Super nice to look back on. Max Madina is spicy. Fight me.
to answer your question about the ex box: I did one because of lorelai’s reasoning, but I still don’t know if I regret it or not
We need all seasons of Gilmore Girls!
They threw in Jess bc we lost Tristan! She was supposed to still end up with Logan
"Paris is burning" is so not the worst episode of Season 1. I would say "Christopher returns" is the worst and the two that follows that "Star-Crossed Lovers and Other Strangers" and "The Breakup part 2" are way worse...
I thought you were trin Lovell for a split sec
idk man Emily is so mean to Lorelai! I truly don't know how people can support/sympathize with Emily lol she's awful. Lorelai is her daughter and she's so critical and mean, not supportive, and her "trying" is her wanting everything to be her way. team anyone but Emily lmao!
Loreali was very childish and irresponsible. She put Rory in alot of danger.
@@arsenalfansince1994 how did she do that.
@@arsenalfansince1994 Lorelei’s childish behavior has nothing to do with Emily’s controlling toxic behavior
She made rory and her live in a shed, when she could of asked her parents for help till she had enough money to pay for it herself.
I love Dean version one. Dean version two sucks. Jess is the opposite. Version one is awful, version two is great!
