After watching my review, you will know more about the Sharp UA-HG50E air purifier with humidifying function.
I have tested several air purifiers in the past, but so far the Sharp produces the best air quality.
One major factor seems to be the humidifying function, the air out of the machine smells a lot fresher than out of a conventional HEPA only air purifier.
A second advantage is the plasmacluster function, something unique too Sharp.
The technology is emitting positive and negative ions that have been shown to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and allergens.

While it is one of the best air purifiers I have owned so far.
Keep in mind that the air purifier humidification stage needs regular cleaning.
I inspect and clean every two weeks, for this you will need some citric acid.
It's extra work that is not needed with a normal HEPA filter only device.
Other than that a truly great device, if you don’t mind the constant cleaning.

My sharp plasma cluster only gets softened purified tap water, this keeps the calcium build up down. I own the bigger brother of this. The unit won't operate without the humidity wheel in place and without water will also shut many functions down. You can get new filters in Europe from a company in the Netherlands called Meditech Europe, they do global shipping the last time I ordered replacement media.
it's so funny they make both purifier/humidifier and purifier/dehumidifier models, cos I live in Vietnam and I absolutely need the latter :P the thought of adding *more* humidity is crazy to me 😂

Yeah, but I still would be careful with the water tray. Either use distilled water or clean regularly. That’s important from my experience.

I bought it already and it works very well, but i wonder if i can put any water base scent inside the water tank ?
maybe you can use destilled water, which you buy for ironing (it is not that expensive) to avoid limestone formation and bacterial deposition
Yes, distilled water wood be good.
I think the serial number is just for traceability, it’s not supposed to be the version number of the air purifier

The air purifier uses different energy depending on the setting.
The water tank varies because humidity, low humidity it needs refill regularly, higher humidity less often.

If you are interested, you can do a comparative test on the effect of the original filter and the third-party filter. I think many people will also be interested. I am willing to provide the air purifier filter and humidifier filter filter produced by our factory to compare any indicators with the original factory. Any experience with the KC850 purifier/humidifier “errors”? I replaced all the filters, including the humidifier wick but now get an E2 error after a short while. Any suggestions?
Check the online user manual, I get the E2 on mine once a year. It just required the unit to be unplugged once a year. Oh BTW it is incorrect to have to unplug these units when servicing the filters. The design keeps the water away from the line voltage components.
@@robertgarrett5009 actually, a thorough disassembly and cleaning of the unit (mineral deposits had frozen the humidifier motor) sorted the entire problem out. But for whoever the "incorrect to (have) unplug these units" comment was directed to... it's ALWAYS a good idea to unplug a mains operated device before servicing. The principle is based on 1) common sense and 2) an engineering principle that appreciates all designs can fail, regardless of how safely the machine was supposed to function.
