These clamps are inferior to others.

Hi David. We're sorry you feel that way. Could you please let us know what it is exactly you don't like about them? We appreciate any insight. Thank you.

@@K2SystemsUSMX Yes certainly!!! They are dangerous to install in certain applications due to necessitating hanging over the edge of a panel/railing to access the clamp. The machining isn't the best, some slide perfectly in the railing some are so loose that when you push your impact/drill into the rail to tighten the clamp you push your yeti clamp too deep and have to fish it out. the zip tie method works well for extraction but overall these are a hassle compared to the Everest top mounted end clamp. all models of Everest clamp have an issue where if you overtighten or "spin" the bolt too much the thing is useless (the spring catches onto the bolt permanently Immobilizing it) thank you for listening! I Worked For a company for 8 months that exclusively used your products.

@@vgrepairs Thank you for the feedback!
My engineering team wanted to let you know the issue with the spring getting stuck has been fixed in both the standard End Clamp and Yeti Clamp. So if you're still installing we'd love for you to give it another try!
We have heard the same complaint with the zip tie method and we are working on updating that.
Unfortunately, regarding the proximity to the end of the roof, there's nothing we can do about that. Everyone's hidden end clamp is more or less installed the same way. It's up to the system designer to give enough setback to install the HEC, or of course they can use a standard top-down clamp.
We really appreciate your feedback. We take everything our installers say into consideration with our designs so thank you.
Are you still working in solar?

@@K2SystemsUSMX Great I haven't worked in solar since 3/20/2020, I hope to see the changes. An in-rail end clamp will always present the same awkwardness and danger of having to overhang to install compared to a standard top mounted end clamp, true.

@@vgrepairs Well we hope you get to install again and try out the updated versions of the clamp. Thank you again for your feedback. Stay safe!
