I was there last month had a good time it was slower than the last time I was there in August. The police was out and about talking to the girls and even some tourist. Had to stop by Flip flops twice appreciate the good service.

To add on to what you said, my source who works for the media also added they trying to get the Europeans back because they would stay 3 weeks or more and also they want the regular folk's from Puerto plata and th3 middle class to start coming back on the weekends like they use to but they didn't want too be associated with the crowd.
The Euros & Canadians have never stopped coming. Sosua is a playground for them, because they like them young. The new rules might make them stop coming. Without under-aged girls, they have no real reason to come.

I say can’t you be comfortable while dressed up?? Just wear comfy in heels?? I even remember a time when people got dressed up to take a flight or travel in general. Now you see people in sweats, leggings, etc. I even see women with bonnets, hairnets, pj’s, flip flops on flights. I wholeheartedly support what the tourist board is doing. Maybe I’ll return to the Su after 6 years.
Men and women used to both be dressed up at night in Sosua. It was classy, much better experience. You couldn't go into Waterfront Cafe with a t-shirt. It was mostly button down shirts and all ladies wore dresses and heels. It probably is a generational thing because people rarely dress up at night anymore. It's leggings and basketball shorts.
But just like how u say time have change the dressing has change tights and bikers shirts are what’s going on all around the world they do what they see so I’m lost on how they suppose to go back to dressing … I understand appropriate but by who terms at a beach town
