This has to be the best Kreisler Cadenza I've ever heard.
Try Kreisler himself playing it with Leo Blech in 1925
Amazing!! Powerful but never aggressive. And his tone sparkles and resonates (I think partly because his intonation is so accurate.) Becoming one of my favorite violinists of ALL TIME.
The absolute perfect pairing of musician and instrument. The c.1744 Leduc Szeryng, Guarneri del Gesu.
Augustin is a master of his instrument and a true genius of interpretation.
The way he slowly builds the excitement while remaining completely in control is amazing

This guy knows how to do a good cadenza. That was really good.
Yesterday Brahms, & today Beethoven, the cadenza is out of this world; the best on our planet.
He's quickly becoming one of my favorite violinists. He has such a command of the instrument, and the sound he produces is so balanced and controlled.

I heard this very cadenza played live today at Mupa Budapest 2024 May 28. It was even more magical. This video does NOT do the performance justice. It truly sounded like the entire orchestra was coming from the violin in certain parts. My jaw was on the floor. The violin is just too easy for Maestro Hadelich
