As an Indian living in Germany I can tell you that the monthly expenses he calculated is too high. You never shop for 400 Euros a month😂 Company pays for your transport. Phone Bill have never gone more than 15 Euros for me. Lots of things are depicted wrongly
@allenjoseph1430 In your estimate if someone were to live within their means by not spending a lot on rent and entertainment, How much can a person save at the end of the month post taxes ?
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay Thank you so much for the great work. As you always mentioned Netherlands in your previous videos as a good destination if we want to save. It would great help if you can make a video on Netherlands, Amsterdam. Thanks in advance ❤️
Great work by you. Could you make a video with the list of best paying companies in Europe for Germany/London/Switzerland? Also, need help on estimating the savings for a family. Thank you again
The Expenses for Berlin are way off. I live in Germany for 3 years. 1. Lunch => almost all FAANG or even average companies provides lunch or subsidized lunch. 2. Eating out => no where in Germany you can spend 75 euro for a single meal. It is way off. The highest you may spend in a fancy restaurant would be 45 - 50. On most occasions, it would cost 20 - 25 euro to eat out. 15 - 20 euro to order at home. 3. Rent => Room which is similar to a 18k room in India ( considering Bangalore / Gurgaon ), would be somewhere around 1000 - 1200 euro. 4. Phone => The best phone plan would be up to 20 euro.
You will not eat out only once in the entire month. I have considered ordering in 3-4 times a month and going outside to eat 3-4 times a month. 🙃 Phone plan is being considered with unlimited data and calls in the mind.
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay I appreciate your response and in general this and other comparative videos. What I meant with the comment about eating was that ideally it should be like -> 4*30 ( eating out ) + 4*20 ( ordering from outside ) = 200 euro. Trust me this number is above average in terms of eating out.

Hi Soumyajit, how do you save for your retirement. In case you do not plan to come back to India and settle there only , I mean after age of 67 years, what is your plan? Will you be able to buy a house? How will you support your food and expenses including at least yearly visit to India? IT professionals in Bengaluru and Hyderabad are easily saving for financial freedom. Moreover, they can save and spend a summer in Europe with the family if they wish to. So the question is - Why to stay in a far away strange land, learn strange language and then take risk of retiring poor??
What kind of a nonsense comparison is this . I’ve not seen a person who spends 1500 euros just for food and shopping every month and the same person spends just 2000 Rs for lunch in India. This guy is demotivating people who wish to come to India. Guys you can save lot more than what is mentioned in this video. Thumbs down to this guy for demotivating people who wish to come to Germany.

Yes it is. Infact for Amazon as soon as you get proolmoted your yearly salary gets updated to excess of 55 with a base of excess of 40. And people get promoted from 1.5 yrs of experience onwards
@@harshinredzone the companies you mentioned are lower paying, with inflated titles, their sde2 doesn’t actually mean sde2. Hence lower pay.
