    Bldg 5 for 30 years been going down. I am taking a hopeful outlook. God bless people who are doing good for others.

      I have faith the residents of building #5 will make their courtyard a wonderful gathering place again, hopefully soon.

    Hello, I lived in Bonita for many years ,first in the trailer park on Beach Rd, in the winters. Then my parents bought a place next to Nicolas Keg on Old 41. and rebuilt all the house. My sisters and I cut all the lawns in the huge Mobile home park on Old 41. So seeing this where I spent most of my teen years destroyed just breaks my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you living through this. Love from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 💔💖💫🙏

Are u talking about Bamboo Village trailer Park, cutting grass? We had many friends there, it's a park now I believe. Nice to see a fellow Bonitian ❤️ I did all my schooling there Bonita elem, middle, Cypress Lake HS, Edison. Thank you so much Lindsay for the videos. Bonita was my home from 76 to 04, my Parents owned Michaels Motel on Bonita Beach Rd, next to Comfort Inn its been gone for many years now but went thru Donna in the 60's. Just heartbreaking to see all the damage and loss. I love and miss Bonita and my friends down there. Stay safe and again Thank You for sharing your videos and showing Bonita.

      What a great connection you have to the area! It is hard to see it as it is, and remember it as it was, and imagine it as it will be in the future. I'm interested to see how downtown Bonita held up also, as we love the Wonder Gardens.

    As someone who lived in Bonita just right down the road from there and as someone who lost my house and everything to this storm it breaks my heart to see some of my favorite places in ruins. I took my mom to coconut jacks just a few months ago and spent many weekends at barefoot beach soaking up the sun. On bad days I would drive this road to look at all the big houses and imagine life in them. It’s sad to see how much can change so fast

    I just stayed there for a week back in late August. I was in building #2...on the second floor corner unit that faced west/southwest towards the Ocean and Docs. This is just unreal to see all the damage. Glad the building are somewhat intact. Obviously the first floors are trashed. The cafe was sad to see. I had bought several morning omelets the week I was there. The pool at building #4 with the cars smashed up against the fence was tough to see. The mountains of sand at the flashing light crosswalk going over to docs was crazy to see.

      Michael, I recorded this video 10 days after the hurricane. I went back the other day and already massive work is being done. Don’t lose touch with the owner of your rental, things are being cleaned up and fixed as fast as can be managed. I’ll keep you updated on progress, but know everyone is working hard to come back from this horrific storm.

      @@LindsayLola_ I have Virginia S. as my rental owner info saved on my phone. I will contact her around the holidays for next August vacation. This was tough to see though. Cause I know how everything looked. The only thing I laughed at was the car submerged into that one nasty pond out in front of building #2. I told the maintenance guy the third day I was there. Somebody needs to drain that pond its water is black sewage....ugggh. well mother nature forced that issue and clean up. I feel for whomever car that got thrown into that nasty pond. Bad enough getting swept away by the storm surge but to wind up in that pond is insult to injury. Ewwww.

    Wow! Thanks for this video have been wondering how the Beach and Tennis club faired. We have vacationed there for the last 4 years and just love it! Building 1 was our building. Shocked to see the Cafe 😢 My heart breaks.

      The coffee cups were laying on the floor which was covered in sand, absolutely surreal.

      In another video the person filming saw eggs still in their packaging outside the café

    I wonder if many of those yankees that moved here in droves to escape their closed states and now asking themselves was it worth it.. Florida was having a shortage of houses and rentals so now where do you go?

    • @LindsayLola_
      @LindsayLola_  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's a interesting question of where to go, inland I suppose.
