Great comparison Raoul! I love the shutter sound too! I keep an old OM1n that can't take photos anymore next to me on my table in the living room, and now and then I charge the shutter, look thru it, and fire! Sounds so nice. I also think you have, like me, a bad case of gear acquisition syndrome, which in my view is not bad :) I have the E-5 with battery grip and the 12-60 SWD, also the EM1X with the 12-100 Pro. When they sit side by side, it's almost like Olympus took hints from the E-5 with grip to design the X. They are so similar and almost weigh the same. By the way, the AC-1 for the E-3, and the E-5 does not charge the batteries in camera, Only the X does that. One thing is that if one has a collection of 4/3 lenses, then the E-5 is a beautiful amazing camera to use with those lenses. The E-5 focuses so fast with the SWD lenses.

Hi I too have a chunk of GAS and further never release my grip upon my precious’s. I too have the former Flagship models in my gear cupboard with the addition of the E1 making what I think of as “The Holy E Trinity” the E1 always pleases me to use with its lovely Kodak sensor colours and the best form factor of any camera I have ever seen, buttons for everything and just feels “nice”. I find my EM1X a pleasure to hold too am enjoying using it too plus matched with my EM1 mk2 I find I have a camera for all styles & uses. Both work a dream with my old FourThirds lens and the 50-200SWD with TC really outshines my Pana Leica 100-400mm
Just got an E1! Love it! Somehow a better body design than the E-3 and the E-5 and the shutter sound is soooo much smoother. It's so easy to forget the resolution is only 5 megapixels, it's that good.
This review feels like it's done by someone who had a few glasses of a real nice Cabernet Sauvignon before starting to shoot!🍷

great video thanks so much, loved the e5 soooooo much, got it after the e620, then i turned mirrorless. thinking of getting the em1x or maybe wait if there will be a mark II.
