Thank you, Dean John. I was born during that awful time in 1940. The ethos of "Forgiveness" was the background to my early days as I grew up in the city. While studying at the Lanchester College of Art and Technology right next door to the cathedral I often ate my sandwiches at lunchtime in the old ruins. Little did I think that a day would come when I would have to give a great deal of thought to this subject of "Forgiveness". It did come when my 19 year old daughter was blown out of the sky over Lockerbie at Christmas 1988 by a terrorist bomb. The subtle influence of the cathedral's message was a real strength in the days that followed. - Thank you, Coventry.

This comment deserves much more than a thumbs up!! I remember Lockerbie....... You must have hurt so much! You are a better man than I ever could be under those circumstances. My thoughts and feelings are with you.
