We have low season starting from 1st of May to end of October and high season from 1st of November to end of April. In high season the beaches are really beautiful, the island is busy and the prices are high. In low season the beaches are not great, the island is quiet and the prices for accommodation for example are low. It is rainy season but the weather can be wonderful too.
My mum says “kaput” too. I think Mon is the only other person I’ve ever heard use it. I actually thought it was a Thai word until I was a teenager and googled it 🤣
