Blockbuster Video quite! The more I come back to 90s/early 2000s related media the more I absolutely abhor the current state of today’s... just about, everything, about, everything in every way. I could care infinitely less about the advances we’ve made. I just know that during that time period, the world was truly so magical that EVEN COMMERCIALS radiated with that exact same energy. Evil was a hell of a lot less present in every way. We were all closer to one another. Now with all the advances we’ve made, we’ve become miserably more and more isolated with every single year. The very last drop of that magic had died in 2009, and I felt it. I knew in my heart that things were only just getting started.
There might be a Blockbuster Video store in the state of Oregon and it's the ONLY store in the entire world. But Blockbuster Video will always be legendary. I sure had lots of good memories
It's in Bend. A city near the center of the state. It's exact address is 211 NE Revere Ave, Bend, OR 97701 That store is now a tourist attraction, and they get fan mail and visitors from all over the world. And people still actually rent DVDS and Blu Rays from it there locally.
I work at a Lowe’s, and the other night, after we closed. I went to the back and for some inexplicable reason the truck with the nights freight smelled exactly like blockbuster. The amount of nostalgia that hit me in that exact moment… I can’t even begin to tell you… I’m a grown man and I almost cried

So many memories that can never be recaptured today. I remember many a friday going into blockbuster to rent a game for the weekend while my parents picked a movie.

Absolutely incredible! I grew up in Australia, Canada and the US and rented at different Blockbuster Video locations in all three places. I worked at a Blockbuster when I was a teen, as did my cousin. I still keep my Seattle Blockbuster Video card in my wallet for nostalgic sakes! Such amazing memories from childhood to adulthood, renting movies and games with family, friends and or significant others. Thanks so much for posting this! 💙💙
We’ve traded in convenience for a experience and you can definitely feel it’s impact. It was an event to go to blockbuster...The smell, lights, and excitement of a wonderful chill night to come. Now I wait in my Jeep In a Walgreens parking lot to speak to a box. We are not going in the right direction folks.

The Blockbuster around the corner got converted into a T-Mobile store. I'm happy that at least the building itself still exists -- driving by it always gives me feelings of nostalgia.

I'm glad I was born early enough to be able to experience video rentals. 2000's kid here so I didn't rent NES games but rather GameCube and PS2 games (which some handheld thrown in there) which was the last generation before the internet and digital started to take over physical media.

There is one Blockbuster left in the world. It's located in Bend, Oregon. They have a website wit ha gift shop for t shirts, hats, even a candle that smells like the inside of a blockbuster video store. If you ever supported or loved Blockbuster, buy somethign from that gift shop and help keep that last store going because when it goes, it's gone forever.

I remember picking up The Spider-Man trilogy pack back in like 2008 I was like 10 at the time, good times man good times.

I'm glad I was born early enough to be able to experience video rentals. 2000's kid here so I didn't rent NES games but rather GameCube and PS2 games (which some handheld thrown in there) which was the last generation before the internet and digital started to take over physical media.
I like the guy that took his hot date to Taco Bell and a free movie rental from blockbuster.

In Mexico, Blockbuster arrived here in 1991 and was a success initially. It dethroned VideoCentro given that Blockbuster offered a much better customer service than VideoCentro.
However in 2000's, Blockbuster Mexico had a hard time dealing with a new competition: flea market pirate DVDs

There is one Blockbuster left in the world. It's located in Bend, Oregon. They have a website wit ha gift shop for t shirts, hats, even a candle that smells like the inside of a blockbuster video store. If you ever supported or loved Blockbuster, buy somethign from that gift shop and help keep that last store going because when it goes, it's gone forever.
