I love it. Knowing this was probably scripted, I still enjoyed every bit of it as I was there shopping with Youichi. The questions were were structured and the sales person's feedback provided lots of great info. I'm not Japanese but I love shopping in stores like these in Japan, it is such an enjoyable experience. Good job you guys, this video reminded me of how I felt when I first picked up a Men's Non-no (A Japanese men's fashion mag) more than 20 years ago.
This video reminded me of the impeccable treatment I received at a German kochmesser (kitchen knife) store. I was looking for a present for a friend back in the USA that was getting married. The store owner was very informative and even with a bit of a language barrier we both ended up happy.

I was faced with the same dilemma when I went to the Barbour last month and ended up buying two short jackets. I would love to get a long coat one one day but I'll wait until I'm a bit older. Which reminds me that while both jackets looked good on Ohwashi, the short jacket seemed more appropriate for his particular age (appearance). No one ever seem to mention the detachable hoods. Handsome fellow (pure eye-candy).
Had 2 Barbour Border jackets. - one in navy and the other in green. Lovely coats. Quite heavy with the liner in as well. The zips are v tough and are all two way ones - ideal for horse riding, if you’re into that.
So one of the best videos on Barbour is from Japan! I have a few Barbour waxed jackets including a couple of rare colourways including charcoal and camo. I read online that some people have indeed washed their Barbour jackets in a washing machine in warm water however this tends to ruin the washing machine as the wax transfers into the machine when warm water is used. In terms of waxing, generally people wax the entire jacket not just the rub areas, typically around once a year. While its tempting to get the limited edition jackets, its best to get the classics first. They tend to be better made and are less likely to look dated if you have a fashion item. Thats sort of why I have avoided the Barbour International jackets which seem to be tendy recently. I know these are biker jackets but they arent as practical for wet weather for most people as the classics, many of which can accomodate the hood. As far as linings go, I opted for Benard Weatherill fleeces instead, they also sell the gilet type fleece if you dont want the full length with sleeves which is more similar to what Barbour sell. Of course they dont zip in like Barbour linings but they do come in a range of country friendly colours and match the Barbour greens and browns quite well. As Weatherill also make country clothing. Oh and they are only twenty quid right now, so I have picked up one for each of my Barbours in each of the different colours.
Thoroughly enjoyable video!! What a treat 🤩 I wish shopping for anything was really like this. Taking time to choose without staff displaying the inevitable eye rolls and sighs after 5 minutes is such a rarity in my experience 😌

バブアー歴40年以上のマニアですが、ゲームフェアとスタイルはかなり異なりますが、Longshoreman Smockもオススメですよ。パーカースタイルのコートで生地は触ると意外にペラペラですが、不思議なことにノーザンブリアとパイルライナーの組み合わせよりも暖かいです。90年代新宿三越で43,000円で売られていましたが現在は10万円以上します。
