      @@Therideshareguy Uber has effectively put me out of business in Austin Texas. From January 2022 till November 1st 2023 I was 90% Uber 10% left. November 1st 2023 to July 15th 2024 I was about 50/50 because UberPay has really been going down. Since July 15th when advantage and standard started in Austin Texas I can only do Lyft rides. I'll be offered the occasional explosive share ride with a 10 to 12 mile pickup zero pay for miles or time. Other than that, everything is a trip radar. The trip radars are picked up before they even print the information on my screen. It beeps black screen appears no information ride is already gone. It doesn't matter where I work or when I work in Austin I cannot get Uber rides anymore. To get a ride from the airport on Uber I have to wait until all 200 plus cars have been gone through and there is 1 to 5 cars ahead of me and then I will finally start getting a trip radar.
      So going over to Lyft, just like all other drivers in my situation, and the problem becomes lift already paid worse and Austin and there are now too many drivers so there are no rides available.
      In 2023 I averaged over $2,000 every week. In 2024 until July 15th I was still averaging 1400 to $1,700 every week. I don't know if I can make $1,000 now. Last week one of my friends worked 110 hours on Uber for $669. He didn't have Lyft because of a customer complaint.

    The real question is why is anyone taking a 4.44 ride that takes almost 15 mins. The stupid drivers are why we can’t make any money.

      Im in orlando been on the platform 2 weeks now...unfortunately its that or wait 45 minutes for an offer that might get snatched up in 1 second. Its tough man, Im averging around18 an hour here. which the avg in the area is 16...about 4 dollars in 15 mins...which is all they offer. 🤦🏻‍♂️

      You do have a choice. You are literally losing money doing rides at those rates. Listen to what Sergio is saying. Gas, wear and tear, your losing money. Your not getting the good rides because the algo knows you will take the shit. Sometimes patience pays off. Think of it like this. While your doing a 4-5 dollar ride you may have missed out on a 25 dollar ride. Here is an example. Today, I turned down this shit airport ride 45 mins + and 36 miles for 23 dollars. Right after I turn down another shit 4 dollar ride, then bang 12 dollar Uber priority for 12 min trip and 7 miles at the mall where I was parked. They were from out of town going to a wedding, gave them some suggestions for dinner and was friendly, 6 dollar tip. 18 dollar 7 mile ride. Patience and savvy are keys to any success in this biz. Good luck in Orlando.

    Uber and Lyft a joke. 41/2 years with over 13k rides. Work 7 days a week for $1,000. Used to make $1,500-$2,000 a week working 5 days. Used to make minimum off $200 in tips in 5 days. Now, I’m lucky if I make $30 in tips in 7 days. Haven’t had a weakly bonus in over a year and a half. Think my driving days are done. Thanks UBER and LYFT!!! You SUCK!!!!!!!

    I'm in Nashville TN and we have it. I got it for like 2 days and then I lost it.
    And yes they lowered the fares before it came. My minimum fare was $4.10 and now it's $3.96. So with 5% it's now $4.16 or 1.5% higher than it was. It's a joke and they think we're really that dumb.

    With Lyft adjusting fares lower to drivers for "expenses", they are playing the corporate "Transfer Pricing" game. Big Corporations, shift their income and expenses to other entities for profit or tax purposes. Lyft is doing the same to the drivers. They are passing their costs to the drivers to manage the Lyft profit. If a ride truly has extra expenses, tolls, etc, it should be charged to the customer with zero impact to the driver.
    Also, there is no incentive for Lyft or Uber to get rid of the illegal drivers. The drivers will take the bad rides that make the most profit for the company.

    I have been participating for the last 2 weeks in advantage standard. I like to make money so of course I'm in standard because of my acceptance and cancellation rates. I can say, without a doubt, Uber has completely destroyed My income and put me out of business. I have gone an entire week without being offered a ride directly either at the airport or the entire Austin area. Trip radars are picked up before I even see what they are. I don't mean see what they are and comprehend them, I mean see the information on the screen. The trip radar is picked up immediately by somebody.
    So go drive Lyft right? Except every other driver like me is doing the exact same thing. So now there are no Lyft rides available either. And both Uber and Lyft have taken advantage of the situation and just rock bottomed prices. Talking like $12 for 27 mi. $14 for 45 minutes.
    Last year, 2023, my lowest 8-hour shift produced $200. I made $52 on Tuesday.

    All I can tell you, here in Phoenix they literally killed uber ever since this started. As soon as it got rolled out there is just barely any trips in standard mode, and insane negative margins now, like 10$ for 49 miles, and it also says that it's exclusive. Also they said it won't affect uber eats trips, but I see that it does also, no matter what modes I turn on, in standard mode there just barely any trips, just dead flat line. Most trips pop up on radar, regardless of x or eats...just dead. It's very bad.

  • @cc-tb3st

    It did not hurt Uber in any way in Austin Texas. There are literally no rides for standard drivers to take. There are enough desperate advantage drivers that accept every single ride that rides do not make it to any standard drivers.

  • @shedrickgarrett8893
    @shedrickgarrett8893 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I have noticed by being pinged the same ride more than once, that as you get closer or further away the price will change as much as .80c.

  • @cc-tb3st
    @cc-tb3st หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    It's a huge thing at the airport. Every ride is now accepted. You only get a trip radar if you're in the top 1 to 5 cars ahead of you and maybe if there's only one car or you're the number one car. There are no trip radars at the airport in Austin. I mean maybe if it's a $50 ride for an hour and 45 minutes there's a trip radar but that's seriously it. There are no other rides at the airport in Austin four standard drivers. You can literally sit there and wait for hours and not be offered a ride. On trip radar. I used to make hundreds of dollars every night just doing Lyft and Uber airport rides. I made $52 on Tuesday. I literally cannot make money in Austin anywhere at the airport or anywhere else. And I used to average 2,800 a week last year.

    Tampa Florida here it's a gimmick. 5% does absolutely nothing as you can see it's all trash. At least Lyft has 10% to 40% on rides. It's all less than a $1 this 5%

    not this Market, we don't get 19 offers a day, let alone an hour. I've seen 2 trip radars in as many weeks. If you don't jump, that ride is taken. Our average here was 2 rides an hour, 10$ a ride. 20 rides a day = 200$ I'm advantage. The 5% looks like, new hoops for less money with more driver accountability. A net loss for the Driver, imo

    the issue here is not the 5% the issue is that this will allow the insurance companies to deny claims for 1 mile over the speed limit. Also if you drive the NJ parkway where the speed limit is 65 everyone is doing 80 and not getting stopped. Therefore you will be impeding the traffic which is even more dangerous

    5% advantage meanwhile they cut the original fare 10%. I’ve seen this tested in Massachusetts and again another pay cut. The only way to stop this bullshit is to go back to per mile per minute. Then they can’t screw with the upfront pricing. We have some new things implemented Massachusetts August 15 unfortunately they did not put it back to per mile/ min. So will just continue to screw with the numbers behind the scenes.

    @cc-tb3st หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I'm sorry I wish you guys work correct but you're absolutely wrong. The advantage and standard thing will be nationwide. It will change what rides every driver takes. Uber has crushed us in Austin. If you're not advantage you are not working. Does the 5% matter? Not at all. It's the fact you actually get rides that matter. I don't care if you're paying a million dollars a ride if I don't get offered a ride I can't make any money. That's the situation I'm in in Austin. I literally cannot get a ride offer. Therefore I literally cannot make money. Last week my friend worked 110 hours for $660 on Uber because he is a standard driver and didn't have access to Lyft.

    Uber's never going to increase a fare by 25 percent because they can't mask that much between Advantage vs Standard. At 5 percent both driver types will receive the exact same fare for the same ride. If you're an "Advantage" driver, your fare will be 5 percent lower, then boosted by 5 percent so you THINK you're getting a better fare but you're really not. Just another Uber shell game.

      I can guarantee if you are standard it's a horrible thing. You might as well stop working. It's been an Austin for 2 weeks. For an entire week I have not been offered a ride directly as an exclusive trip. Only trip radars come across my screen. And the trip radars are picked up so fast that I don't even see anything no details at all. I don't mean I don't comprehend the details I literally mean I get a blank screen that says there was a trip radar but it's gone. The airport does not allow you to get any rides until there are only 1 to 5 drivers ahead of you and then they will offer you a trip radar. Until November 2023 I was 90% Uber 10% lift. Since November till 10% lift. Since November till July 15th 2024 when advantage and standard started I was about 50/50 because Uber's price has been going down. In the last 16 days I have done three Uber rides in 16 days.
      Everyone in the same boat as me has gone over the lift so already the pay is crap but now Lyft is saturated with drivers also.
