It almost feels worth showing him Mercy, just because of how disgusting and weak he thinks mercy is, and it would probably piss him off more then anything else you could possibly do, because it's kind of telling him "I' sparing your life, because i'm stronger then you and you're not worth killing."
Maybe Morgan blackhand would since mercy is more of his style i dont think V tho as a character would since he knows how dangerous smasher is and alyways kills first V aint no Morgan blackhand in terms of morality

He e is even harder on the “don’t fear the reaper” ending… you have to fight him completely alone and your max health slowly deteroriate because of the relic

That’s the ending I went with and even though I was on normal ( everyone legit thought I was on easy ) I didn’t die somehow in the whole mission
@Trevbplayz it was ez enough for me to one shot smasher but it was pre phantom. Just used sande tossed a shit load of grenades in his face, about 3 melee combos into his back, 3 smart smg (legend with all element dmg) clips, and spammed wirst rockets until sande wore off.
I jumped for a sec when the smoke cleared only for it to be the remains of his torso.

@@GameNerd2077 i die once in don't fear the reaper on normal and that because the server room door was bugged and the last enemy (which happened to be a heavy soldier) were stuck behind it so i walk up to him to try and melee and bastard just clip through the wall and 2 tap me
@@GameNerd2077 Pfff normal might as well be easy. On normal, you can easily do the entire mission with all stats at 3 and no cyberware.
Fighting him with a max level reflex and cool build was truly badass. The fact he can move as quick a Max level V with Sandevistan made him truly a worthy boss fight. He actually keeps you on your toes.
the Adam smasher rework on don't fear the reaper was intense he would zero me the second he got close, and just turn off my cyberdeck occasionally.
100% it made bezerk mandatory for a melee build. Sandy didn't do shit against Smasher, he'd just graze you and you'd end up a smear on the wall.

Every boss in this game DO have unique execution/takedown animations. They’re just hard to get. You have to lose the boss’s detection of you and sneak behind them. The TH-camr “AbraHamSandwich” does challenge runs for Cyberpunk, and he discovered this in one of them. What’s even cooler is that every animation is different, based on the condition of the boss you’re fighting.

Gorilla Fists + Very Hard = Maximum adrenaline. Add a double barrel shotgun and you're borderline canon.

Playing this part with Enemies of Night city and Hardcore22 mod make me realized why David didnt stand a chance even in his peak against Adam.
I just love how in cyberpunk, it's not always about who has the best arsenal but the invisible battlefield of cyber attack. It's terrifying to think that even with the best implants, if you don't have any firewalls, anti-viruses, or jammer, someone could fry your brains or shut down your weapon systems.

That's the biggest change. He is very tanky now, especially in don't fear the reaper.

dude same i made it hard for myself too intentionally by using nehan, satori and a militech tricon
He killed me twice on my run of the game on the hardest difficulty. Max body, tech and cool and basically spent the fight switching between the explosive lmg, an explosive sniper and a big fuck you hammer. That 3rd try victory was very satisfying against this guy.
Loads more hit points, very difficult to get spacing and even the little bit of extra enemies mid fight made this fight waaaaay more entertaining. I remember slicing him to death before finishing his opening dialog in the past.
You every played Fallout 2? This boss and the way you play, reminds me of Fallout 2's final battle

this patch will be perfect once they fix melee finishers. the only ones i get are the slow motion lunge and none of the cool ones.
Detonate grenades halves his health immediately begining the fight. Would be cheating but his one arm phase has a rocket volley that flatlines V if it catches you standing so im calling it even.
You can really run out of bullets during this fight in the Dont Fear The Reaper ending.
Kinda wanted to fight him before the rework but guess that ain't happening any time soon

Bruh i played on very hard and went in with the storyline without the side missions....big mistake, paper ass V i had got destroyed easily, took me 3 days to beat him
But then i did the dlc and all the side missions,and got as maxed out as i could,and beating smasher was a joke

This makes it look so easy. I just finished my very first game of Cyberpunk and of course on very hard difficulty. I didnt upgrade my cybernetics or armor at all (I wanted to be purist) and my perks were mostly something that seemed useful or cool (like dash). I had done most of side missions but not too many gigs. It was fun when his rocket ability was instant death and he would kill me with two punches. Now those I could deal with by just dashing around and getting the occasional shotgun hit on him, but when the npcs spawn it is just rng. They hit me regardless of me dashing around. I lost count how many times I just died because of that phase. Eventually I got lucky when I got good grenade throws to knock them down and they didnt kill me in nanosecond when they got up.
Most miserable experience of boss fight I ever had in my gaming career. When I am gonna replay this Im gonna be sure to read some build guide to stack the most op shit just for this fight.

Honestly, with my sandy samurai build on Normal, Smasher still made me pause the game for a sec to actually comprehend what the cyberfuck was happening and then he killed me.... until Second Heart kicked in. Still he almost killed loads, was the most dashing to actually dodge an attack i did. Now im on a netrunner build on hard..., this is gonna be fun. Side note: Why does hard feel not hard. Cos usually theyre grueling in other games but for me, its like Fallout 4 Normal.
So i completed the netrunner run... it was..... an experience. Then i did a Body build on V3ry Hard.... Killed Adam first try.

Update 2.0 made the game not just playable, but one of the best games ever made in the history of video games. Sadly I have to stick with version 1.61 because they won't update it for Xbox One.

I never played this game but from what I see I feel even I would be able to 1 shot this guy. He doas a lot of random nothings. He Is no stronger than a "Strog" In Quake just more hp.

Ngl its still really REALLY easy and kinda underwhelming. He lacks aggression considering how overkill his tech is relative to yours, and he genuinely would've been much more difficult if he actually pushed you with a higher damage output. (max difficulty 20b 20r 20t shotgun build)

Tried this with runner build V, max health 340 something. Were it not for Yinglong I had in the inventory, I wouldn't have gotten through this on my fourth try. This fucker was seriously difficult with a paperthin V.

After watching Edgerunners on Netflix, I feel like they had to nerfed Adam Smasher for the game just to make the player feel good. "V succeed while Johnny Silverhand has failed while Dexter DeShawn can easily put a bullet into V brain.

Exactly. You shouldn't be able to beat him at all unless you got yourself dragoon body or something able to keep up with it, or solid team of badass fighters (like inviting friends in dark souls) and turn it into epic raid boss fight.

@@vincentcrow6075 in game it is a little weird, but lore accurate V is 100% on Smasher's level, the relic is what mostly allows him to run around fully chromed up without being affected with the side effects like cyberpshycosis. trust me they would've showed a more detailed chromed up V in terms of visuals if they could, that is why there is no good ending for V, he just dies and..........SPOLER>........................................... the only one where he lives he loses all his chrome and can only live fully organic alone. V was too OP to keep alive for a sequel, I wonder who we will play as in the new game codetitled CyberPunk 2077: Orion

its still possible to kill him using quick hacks, the counterhack bar can be reduced down if you attack him, it basically forces you to engage with him and not hide in a corner hacking him

He counterhacks. You have to physically attack him to stop it, and each uploaded hack jumps the progress bar on his counterhack. Going pure hack will presumably end badly for you.

@@vayalond7203 I dunno. Oda was absolutely crushing me at level 40. Like, it was a struggle to get him down to 90% health as he, too, would one or two shot me. It took a lot of playing tag to get him down to 40%, where I then lucked out because he glitched and got stuck walking on air. I doubt things are gonna go better with Smasher.

This fight was great! I was playing on easy and he was still fun. I had to dodge, use my sandy, use my tech weapon Widowmaker to kill him and it took about 4 minutes to kill him.
Now it’s a proper boss fight >:D

I was running full reflex tree with full tech weapons tree and I ran out of fucking ammo 😭 Mind you I did this on DFTR so he one shot me no matter what, so I had to dance with death because my guns didn’t do shit to him.

Смэшер по какой то неведомой причине считался непобедимым в концепции и в аниме, в игре ВСЁ что с ним связано так и сделали лишь до момента пока сам игрок с ним не столкнётся. Была хорошая идея и аллегория на закрытую дверь - страшную и большую неизвестную опасность, которая наяву кажется более чем.. Блять короче это чмо железное и правильно что умирает от 2х скриптов перегрева, потому что ну какого хера он будет отличаться по живучести и опасности от того же дрона милитеха в начале игры?
Потому что по лору мира Cyberpunk, он является одним из самых сильных персонажей. Например без сандэвистана он мог бежать со скоростью 120км/ч, при том что весит он тонну с лишним, прочность его тела позволяла ему выдержать выстрел бронебойного снаряда из гранатомёта, который скинул его с высоченного небоскреба и после этого Адам встал АБСОЛЮТНО без повреждений, максимум корпус немного поцарапало, да и какая разница если его корпус позволил ему пережить всего лишь взрыв ядерной бомбы которая подорвала башню Арасака. Он голыми руками разорвала борга, БОРГА пополам, а борги во много раз прочнее любого киборга, типо блять, у Адама Смэшера самое мощное военное тело борга, которое создавалась для того чтобы десятками уничтожать танки и вертолеты будущего на поле боя, а наличие сандэвистана буквально делает его почти непобедимым, если ещё брать в счёт что у него установлен мощнейший лёд, который почти не позволяет его взломать и после всего вышеперечисленного очень смешно смотреть как умирающий КИБОРГ, не борг блять, Ви убивает его без усилий, да по логике Адам Смешер используя только руки не оставляет Ви ни шанса на победу, поэтому все недовольны тем что он такой лёгкий босс, по хорошему мы должны были его в бою не убить, а например в изнурительной и очень сложной битве сделать так чтобы на него тупо обвалился потолок например и пока его задерживают много тонн метала и бетона, мы сможем сделать свои дела и убежать, его ни то что убить, просто уйти живым при честном бою с ним один на один, почти не возможно, поэтому тупо то что Ви остался живым после битвы с ним, уже бы было бы очень большой наградой для игрока, но место этого у нас абсолютно унылые, казуальные пострелушки без постановки, хоть патч 2.1 во много раз улучшил ситуацию
