There is one more point to be had for Tidal, but this only impacts people that work with music, mostly DJs. They offer direct streaming to many DJ controllers and software that spotify does not.
    I love my Tidal

With the Spotify price increase, I figured that it would be worth trying something new. So I went with Tidal. It has been a change, and with another purchase to get my playlists copied, it has been good so far

The latest Spotify update annoyed the crap out of me with the flashing GIFs that appear every time I do a search. This probably sounds petty, but I think I'm switching over to Tidal for that alone.

In the end it's about what you as a person value. For you that's peace of mind. As much as I love how much we're advancing technology, we're doing so for good, and bad. For me marketing is getting out of hand. I'm switching to tidal because I want some crisp audio. But I must admit I won't mind leaving behind the, to me, juvenile more-and-more flashy- and in your face approach to UI.

      the ui is still "meh".
they still dont have an option to do custom playlist order OR collapse the "my collection" part in the sidebar if you ONLY want to see your playlists -_-

audio quality for me is most important, i think for most people.
tidal can be used on iphone, android, pc even tv, so who cares about any other system not relative.
if i am at home and conect to my AVR or high end soundbar i want no blend sound, so tidal is the way for me

using apple music for years decided to give both platforms a try since they're both offering summer free trials.. I must say, Tidal is like a blend of both apple music and spotify. i've found music on Tidal that I wasn't able to find on spotify which was surprising. and the audio quality of Tidal is so freaking good. granted Apple music is freaking good too, I feel like Tidal plays at a higher volume then AM. only thing is I wish they ditch the MQA format I would pay the extra money, but MQA is not true Lossless. anyway, will be keeping Tidal and leaving Apple music surprisingly. recommendations, sound quality, and even UI are all better.. not to mention artists are better compensated and you can donate to support them.

Also Tidal has good software for pretty much every device. I've found that both iTunes and Apple Music have many bugs and problems on non-apple devices like the PC I use for work.Tidal solved those problems for me.

I actually just transitioned from SoundCloud to Tidal. Recently picked up a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X's and WOW the sound is amazing! Definitely worth the $20 a month. (Also they offer a 30 day free trial and a 60 day trial for only $4)

Spotify Music Discovery is the only reason I keep it along w Tidal. How would Qobuz compare w Tidal these days? Slightly cheaper than Tidal in my region.

My preference would be on Tidal if you want to stream audiophile standard music. Primary features of listening to music is about quality and availability of the music while searching and sharing service is secondary.

Big underestimation here, Spotify has 360kb/s or something but its compressed sound, Tidal and its CD quality - we dont know what it is, (CD itself has uncompressed files). I had Tidal master and Spotify and now im going back to Spotify. You can hear the difference only when you play the same song on each player right after another. Plus Spotify has great playlost and in Duo mode cost half of the Tidal.

It doesn't matter how good the stream is if your equipment isn't up to it. For example, Bluetooth CODECs cannot handle CD quality.

Spotify is ripping off the artists and it’s truly shameful. If you have Spotify, you’re a part of the problem and you should be ashamed of yourself. Tidal all the way baby 🤘🎸🔥🔥🔥

    • @techprojournal4469
      @techprojournal4469  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Very true, but for smaller artists, it's often easier to get on spotify and has a larger audience, leading to more possible exposure. It's a balancing act but a shame for the artists, which, at the end of the day, is the reason any of us subscribe to any of these services.

    • @cboisandlin9601

@@techprojournal4469 true, but if everyone made the switch and Spotify would go out of business and artists could get a bigger audience on tidal. We just gotta hope more people make the switch.
