    Hi Oli,
    I can’t agree more.
    Since I have the SL2 s, my M11 stays on the drawer.
    My 2 main lenses M 35 lux FLE II and 75 lux M pre asph.
    I sometimes use the 24-70 L which is a great all rounder but a log to carry.
    I shot 50 years with M bodies and because of my eyesight decreasing, I found a new youth with the SL2s
    Dioptric EVF, live view, IBIS, BSI sensor,
    Magnifier, big pixel vs numerous but small..
    Stunning images!!!
    It reminds me of my beloved M9.
    Keep up the good work!
    Thanks for sharing.
    Peace

    I'm interested to know the lens! Waiting on the next episode 😊.
    I think my most used and fav would be the 50 summilux!

      I can understand why. The 50 summilux is a fantastic one. Really lovely. Shot it a few times, but never owned it. Glad to know you're interested. Let's see how the interest level amongst everyone else is. Cheers 👍

    On my Leica Type240, my fav is the Voigtlander 50mm f/1.0.
    It’s sharp (though tough to focus) with amazing pop and colours. It’s superior to my 50mm Summilux asph, 90mm Apo Summicron and Voigtlander 35mm Apo f/2.0. Most reviews star it slays the Noctilux in terms of edge to edge sharpness and colour fringing. It’s wide but I use an EVF so don’t care at all.

    On my SL2-S (and R film bodies), the 60mm Macro Elmarit-R is the one I use most.

      Now that’s an interesting focal length mate. What do you shoot primarily?

      @@oliscurra I consider it my ‘nifty fifty’. Similar to my preference for a 40 over a 35. I shoot anything that strikes my fancy really. A means to print or get in my darkroom.
      Happy 4th!

    28mm elmarit lives on my sl2s rent free

      Fair enough Karlo. That's a pretty dope lens.

    I used to own the 35mm Summilux FLE that I later sold for the pre-FLE; other than a crappy lens hood, I it's great; I love the way it draws.

    I also have the same lens and LOVE it! I also enjoy your reviews so much. Happy 4th!

      Thank you mate 👍 I appreciate it. Would you say it’s your favourite or is that spot taken by another lens. 🤔

      @@oliscurra Hi OlivierSM, you are most welcome. I would say, it's my favorite and to go lens. It really sits on my sl2-s all the time and such a joy to shoot manual with this lens. Much respect!

    the 35luxFLE is glued to my M7. preferably with TriX and an orange filter. but the 50lux with the built-in lens hood (version3?) is absolutely fantastic. not to mention the 28summaron in bright conditions. ❤

      @oliscurra  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Magnus. Nice to see you in the comments again 🙂. That is one of my favourite combinations... basically ever. M7 + 35lux. It delivers just pure magic. Never shot the 28summaron. In one sense I am interested in one of the Q's for a 28mm look. Ever shot those?

    My favorite lens is the Summilux 50mm. I use it in my M10R all the time. I have also the Summilux 35mm which I hardly use. I just feel the pictures are not engaging as the 50. I think however that a 35mm could be a better choice for video, so I will try the 35mm forma while on my SL2S. Sidenote : whenever I don’t want to bother about nailing a shot, eg for a family pool party, I put on the Ttartisan 28mm 5.6. Veeeery easy to work with, most pictures are sharp and everybody is actually on the picture. So my only concern still is which one I best use for video on the SL2S, maybe it’s the 35…

    My most used lens as well. It's really just so useful and solid with the combination of image quality and size. Used to use it on M6 and M10 but sold those off and now it's glued onto my Leica MP... hoping this combo will be my forever camera setup as everything else I shoot with comes and goes over the years.

    • @oliscurra
      @oliscurra  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh nice!! What made you sell the M6 & M10? I’ve flirted with the idea 💡 of selling the 35mm summi. One look at the photos and that idea goes up in smoke 💨.

      @@oliscurra I have always LOVED the look of the patina you get on the black paint Leica bodies... last month I was waiting for the Q3 when my local store unexpectedly was showing a new black paint MP in stock... so I jumped at the opportunity... The idea of having a brand new one with my unique patina over the years was too much not to jump at... so off went the M6 and M10 to fund the purchase and limit my options/force myself to use the MP.

    • @oliscurra
      @oliscurra  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GatorheadLuis Nice one! The MP is a cool camera. Never owned one, but a mate of mine has owned, sold & owned it again over the years. Still gonna get the Q3 though?

    My most used lenses on the SL-2S

    For the M10-r i use Leica 35mm APO Summicron and 50mm summilux

    • @oliscurra
      @oliscurra  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can imagine that the Sigma 85mm 1.4 just shines on the SL2-S. Must be an awesome lens. Have you got a place online where I can see some of your work with it?

    • @magnusa.5599
      @magnusa.5599 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oliscurra i can only agree. the 85 1.4 by sigma is fantastic. but coming from film it‘s almost too sharp.
