Excellent ! Just say LIG open for Skinny Puppy at Irving Plaza this past Saturday night (04/22) ! Had the same experience as RivetHeadLab2523 below - Got to meet him and hand him my cash for his two latest albums, the brand new one The Eternal Present in particular ! What a great and talented musician and most importantly a genuine person ! Thank You Paul Barker ! Thank You Wax Trax for all of the great music !
Interesting "live" performance, but of course no complaints. EBM is only really involved instrumentally in the studio and I have yet to really see a band that fully reproduces the 'Electronic body' so to speak
Maaaan. With all due respect to the master genius that is Mr barker, this is absolutely sad and depressing, to have such eminence of electronic and industrial music playing such tiny and empty and soulless gig. It leaves little to no hope to us even littler guys who are either starting or want to start into these genres of music, specially coming with the 80s vintage sounds, maybe the best we could ever afford is to play this soulless empty gigs for no one but a Webcam and then beg people to buy our mercy as a means to make a cent. This video is definitely an image to think about, the hard and un rewarding path of being a non current mainstream pop musician
This was during the covid lockdown-era, these livestreams were the only safe way to do live shows at the time. Paul Barker's Lead Into Gold was recently the opening act for Skinny Puppy's final tour. I think it'll be ok but I wouldn't expect to be the next Trent Reznor either.
Why you didn't have had a gig with 'the young gods' from swizerland? Ok, they are your age, so 'the older gods' now. The Young Gods - DATA MIRAGE TANGRAM - Live @ La Maroquinerie 2019
It’s nice to see that Paul Barker is still carrying the torch for industrial music. This set is amazing.
Paul Barker forever.
I heard faster than light and my mind lit up like a Christmas tree with joy.
Paul Barker was and is a huge part of what Ministry was/is
The woke part lol

Always loved how he wore glasses. A hardcore industrial nerd...
The last bastion of this type of industrial. Barker IS the lunatic genius.
Awesome! The songs get better and strong as the set progresses, I had no idea Paul was doing this!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏

this doesn't look like a dj set at all
He is a genius but this gig has a poor vocal performance
saw him a few weeks ago and the vox were much, much better.
