First Nations deserve clean drinking water! It's been too long they have to lug the family's laundry to a facility. Thank you for bringing this to light. Hopefully it will be more of a priority.

Let’s hope the federal fisheries dept is more competent this time. Protect our territorial waters from Chinese over fishing.

32 years to recover from brink of extinction. Six months to return to the brink of extinction, a year tops. Mother nature has seen enough of us.

We have boil water advisories in our nation and our government feels that changing names of streets and demanding all Canadians buy electric vehicles are the best ways to help Indigenous Peoples... Words fail me

Anyone making decisions about the fisheries in Newfoundland, should first be compelled to read Farley Mowat's book, "SEA OF SLAUGHTER". It will open their eyes to the stupidity of humanity in the past, and should be a used as a guide to the future control of the Fisheries in Canada.

30,000 lost their livelihoods... i bet more people than that were laid off in the 2015 oil crash in Alberta. But for Albertans there was no Second Alberta as Alberta was to Newfoundland.

Opening up the cod fishery again just so the liberals can try to hold a few seats is deplorable! Most newfoundlanders don't even care about the cod fishery anymore and they know it's still not recovered! The federal government still allows drag netting offshore by foreign countries. Only fishery in the world run federally by the way, provincial fisheries has no say as to what happens in our provincial waters it's all a chess pawn for foreign politics. All newfoundland wants is some cod for traditional dinners and to feed the poor people tongues, cheeks, and britches, while the PM has a $600,000 dollar catering bill for one week abroad. Ridiculous.
