I can tell you that Moroccans are beginning to wake up and see the tactics of Algeria's government, the tentatives to steal Moroccan culture. 10 years ago, nodoby in your country wore the caftan during celebrations and today your government tries to claim the Moroccan dresses, made by moroccan artisans as yours, but real life doesn't work like this. We are not blinded by these sweet talks anymore. We're talking about culture and the impact this algerian propaganda will have on our artisans. This is not a "no level" but a serious level.

Moroccan video series with different TH-camrs just keeps getting interesting. Marrakesh is such a lively and unique city. There is nothing in the world like Moroccan craftsmanship, it just shows how intelligent the Moroccan people are. The Moroccan jersey looks nice too. Also, hustling happens in every country especially countries that get lost of tourists like Morocco, it is normal, tourists are charged a bit higher than usual. Marrakesh is one of the most famous and touristic cities in the world, so you should expect to be charged high at times. I live in Mexico City, Mexico and even though Mexico is a wonderful country, there are quite some areas where you go as a tourist and you will get things highly-priced even living here as an expat I get overpriced most of the time.

What you reffer to as a scam it is NOT ..
they can tell you a price then you negotiate..that simple .. if you don't want to buy it then no body is pressuring you.. in Marrakesh it's a competition between vendors to get you in their stores .. again it's not a scam ( learn to negotiate just as locals)

I went to Marrakesh last December and it was the most unpleasant day trip I ever had. Although the majority of Moroccan people were lovely and hospitable , the Moroccan sellers weren’t . My husband and I hated the fact the we were approached by forceful sellers who didn’t take NO for an answer every two metres . When we insisted that we didn’t want to buy anything they still kept following us . We were stopped every two minutes and some of them they took offence when we refused to buy what they were proposing ! We wanted to visit the city but at the end we just had a trip on the chariot to avoid being hassled and we cut our visit short and went back to Agadir where we were staying . My husband said to me :”never again “!! Tourists in Morocco are seen as a walking wallet not visitors unfortunately !!

On the contrary people will feel (many not all) embarrassed to take money from you even if it is justified. It is therefore the only country on earth where you will have to negotiate not a price but for the principle of paying because many will not accept to be paid. Consequently. Algeria with its beauty, its unparalled hospitality, its fantastic culinary taste and diversity, excellent security, represent a fabulous destination for people looking for a great time with a minimum of expenses. The good thing about it is that everybody agrees with what I am saying. Have a wonderful time in Algeria.

Marrakech's living costs must be very high for the locals considering that the city is being taken over by foreign investors. So that's not surprising to see higher prices and people struggling

Morocco is really another level in North Africa
I bet you cannot eat some chocolates as a lot fo them contain coffee to enhance the flavor especially dark chocolates. Puzzle boxes are master craftwork if not done by machine.
