Honestly to me I feel like thrill ride really captures The Boyz's spirit. Like y'know how some groups have songs or mvs that REALLY captures the personality or feel of a group, for me that would be thrill ride. The choreo for thrill ride is AMAZINGLY tiring for how cheerful the song is especially that last chorus bit which fits well with how I view the boyz as a group in general, very fun and playful yet very intense. The mv itself is very playful and kind of flirty, which also describes how the members interact with deobi very well, **cough** sunwoo I'm looking at you,
The music video and song fit sooo well together I really like it
Most reactors first think that Maverick is based on Squid Game but it's actually inspired by the Japanese film Battle Royale in which 9th graders are sent to a deserted island. They are given a map, food, and various weapons. An explosive collar is fitted around their neck. If they break a rule, the collar explodes. Their mission: kill each other and be the last one standing. The last survivor is allowed to leave the island.

@@Yetti. Road to Kingdom is the show that the boyz were on prior to Kingdom, I think it’s a predecessor to Kingdom? They did a performance of one of their songs on it, but they remixed it kinda and changed the theme! The choreo is amazing and it might be one of my favorite performances of theirs! It’s called “REVEAL (Catching Fire)”

yay the boyz!! i’d love to see you do a guide to them next so you could start getting to know the members and their positions, talents, personality, etc :) if you do, i suggest the 2021 helpful guide by kpopluv. it’s rather long but they’re a big group! the channel jellykims also has great individual guides for each member but those are quite time consuming to react to so maybe the group one first? they are super versatile and excel at both bright and dark concepts. all the members are so talented and their dynamic is crazy hilarious! rly hope to see more of them on ur channel! :D

I also started getting into kpop with bts, and now my ult groups are bts and the boyz!! 🤍 seriously, they are one of the best performers in kpop! they take concepts on a WHOLE other level. i recommend you watching their performances in Road To Kingdom as well bc they’re *LEGENDARY* 💯❤️🔥

Main vocal is new, sangyeon and kevin. But also lead vocal is hyunjae and jacob.

The guy you described in No Air with the black and white shirt thingy is Hwall (Hyunjun). He left the group in 2019 and is now a soloist/actor. Most guides kinda brush over him very quickly but there’s a few individual guides on him if you’re interested 🙌 he’s really talented and his Instagram 👀…is deadly. You’ve been warned lol

Maverick MV is based on Battle Royale a 2000 Japanese movie in which school children are forced to play a survival game, you kill to survive, and the winner is the last one alive.
Sunwoo (pouty rapper) is main rapper, lead dancer, vocalist. I adore his rap style.
The person who was the last on screen in the Maverick MV and who you noticed layered over Sunwoos whisper in Thrill Ride is Eric, lead dancer, lead rapper, vocalist, maknae. I love his rap style because he's got a slight lisp and it just sounds really good to me.
The person you thought was striking (I think that's what you said) in The Stealer is New/Chanhee, main vocalist.
The person who did the very impressive high note in Maverick is Sangyeon, leader, main vocalist.
The person who you noticed his intensity on Kingdom and the crotch grab is Juyeon, main dancer, vocalist, visual. He was Studio Chooms September Artist of the Month and it was gorgeous, and I'm still not over it.
The person who caught your eye as main dancer material in No Air (in the white tshirt) is Q/Changmin, main dancer, vocalist.
I don't think anyone else caught your eye specifically so:
Juhaknyeon is lead dancer, vocalist, rapper. Kevin is main vocalist. Hyunjae is lead dancer, lead vocalist, visual. Younghoon is vocalist, visual. Jacob is lead vocalist. Hwall is a former member (he was in the floral looking shirt in No Air) was lead rapper, lead dancer, vocalist.
A lot of the members have several positions, but they have 3 visual members (called the Bermuda line), 2 main dancers, 3 main vocalists, and then lead rapper/dancer/vocalist, and rapper/dancer/vocalist.
I would recommend Tattoo and Breaking Dawn for good Sunwoo and Eric raps. Tattoo has my favourite Sunwoo rap so far. I have yet to find a TBZ track I didn't like. Their title tracks are really varied in style, always bops, and their bsides are gorgeous.

Sunwoo actually sings in most of their bsides! He’s technically also a vocalist & def get significant lines in a lot of their tracks, especially the songs on the THRILL-ING album! He also takes part in writing lyrics for a lot of their songs and even title tracks! 🤗

I think the quote protect yourself from what you want is like saying careful what you wish for. In the mv there's a survival game and what you want is to survive. But in order to survive you need to kill every one else so,..you got what you wanted ( surviving) but is it really what you wanted? (killing others to survive). That's why Eric was looking at the sign at the end, he's the only survivor

No air was the reason I stanned properly and I regret nothing. These boys, are something especially their performances. * cough *Road to kingdom * cough *. And the relationship with the fans is so cute. You should watch the "The Boyz vs Deobi(a.k.a TheB which is the fandom name) " series just to get an idea. It's hilarious. And they were recently declared the first 4th gen group to get wins from all the music shows. I'm so proud😭

@@Yetti. It's what they call their "visual" line consisting of Juyeon, Younghoon and Hyunjae. Apparently, "Bermuda line" is a K-pop term derived from the Bermuda Triangle. As in, one is apt to get lost in the three members' visuals.
