Spain were miles ahead of England in terms of technique, tactics and togetherness. Too much ego still in the England team, even after the game they’re all standing around on their own, it’s a team game and the manager needs to be a leader and not a friend. Tough decisions weren’t being made and the style of football is out of date. Pickford’s long ball BS is an example of that ego and out of date football.

England won’t win on the biggest stage until their football culture changes, meaning that their football needs to shift to a more technical, possession based style. The EPL is very exciting but teams don’t generally need to worry about losing possession because the speed of the game means that they’ll get it back again, soon enough. If you lose the ball against Spanish sides, it might take three or four minutes chasing round before you get it back again, which all adds up towards the end of the game.
No sign of some of the English fans who were crowing here after the Dutch game, funnily enough.

They have the more league winners and Champions League winners in their team than Spain and they play utterly boring negative football with some of the best attacking players in the world.
This is how thick Southgate is, he brought Arsenal’s CDM, he brought Chelsea’s CDM, he brought Crystal Palace’s CDM, he brought Man United’s CDM, and he brought Liverpool’s full back to play as a CDM. The guy is an absolute clown who has gotten away with luck for far too long, being rescued by world class moments and sheer luck.
The only number 8 he brought played zero seconds in the game in Eze. England under Southgate will not have the midfield to compete against the best. The top teams just pass round them.

Well done Spain. Hardly a historically good performance but enough to be the best team in the tournament. Darragh and Ronnie must be as bitter as the England boys that come in here.
Weird that England looked, once again, like the minnows of this match despite being ranked 3rd in the world.
Wonder what players weren't activated tonight, who was at fault? What possible reason was there for a team of "world class" players to look so much like nothing?
Maybe they're not so good after all.

Get over it, its just an extremely boring, over hyped mind numbing spectacle of 22 headless chickens passing the ball sideways and backward and sometimes deciding to score a goal if possible. Just how much of this 1,5 hour horror show makes worthwhile entertainment?? In the end who gives a shit who holds the cup for a boring horror show

Why can Spain France, Germany, Italy produce numerous European and world cup winning teams in the last 30 years and England never even come close considering they have similar populations and football cultures. England have a way better Squad then any of the above mentioned teams in this tournament.
    It boggles the mind.

Nope. Not sure what match you were watching😅.
England had a few moments of control but Spain dominated them. Quite comfortably cutting through England's lines especially in the second half.
You had Jordan Pickford to thank for keeping that scoreline low.
The better team on the day and in the tournament defeated you. Deservedly.
