    I wish they’d make a kit with four transducers and a single 4 channel amplifier to keep the amount of components needed down. I’d probably buy a set if they did. I like that they have a usb connection as it gets rid of the need for a second sound card.

    Excellent review as always Mike, I have a BK Gamer2 and love it. I personally could not go back to not having this type of device after experiencing it on my Sim rig via SimHub, awesome bit of kit for a reasonable price.

    A ButtKicker is a necessity, in my opinion. It took me quite a while to get my Gamer 2 set up in all games via SimHub, but it is now absolutely amazing. I suggest that you use separate outputs for the BK and for headphones … I found external USB sound cards, which are cheap, to be invaluable. I use it only for gear shifts and detecting rear-end slides which has improved my consistency immensely. I have never wanted a motion rig and the ButtKicker provides as much tactile feedback as I could want. If you are in Canada, I recommend purchasing from Dale at Smoketronics in Toronto as his service and backup are superb - I had two amplifiers die and he exchanged them promptly and without fuss. Cheers, Mike!

    I have 4 Buttkickers on my rig. 3 Simulation kits and 1 gamer 2 mounted to my NLR V3. Can’t and won’t race without them. I also use the amps that they come with. I appreciate they got rid of the weird wired controller.
    What I wish is they’d release an amp that’s made for powering 4 or 5 of these suckers at once. With some kind of control panel I could mount to my chassis that allows me to adjust the power for each. Depending on the time of day I race I always have to adjust the volume for each transducer.

    Great Review, thanks! I currently have 2 Dayton Audio BST-1s connected to my 8020 rig, and a BK Gamer 2 under the seat. The BK2 is amazing for engine vibrations and gear shifts, and the Dayton's are decent, but I feel like the quality of the vibration just isnt there like it is for the BK2. I am seriously considering a BK Gamer Plus to replace at least the rear BST-1, and wondering if you've tried both and if this would be a worthy upgrade? Ive spent hours dialing in Simhub to get things dialed in, I just need something that isnt going to shake my entire rig and feel a bit more localized, and this looks like the product to get.

    Always great reviews ... I am confused by how much noice to expect with this ? or better said the amount of vibration in the floor (neighbors below). I never hear any loud noiuse from the review videos, is it easily squelched with some rubber pads under my gaming chair ? Interested in any feedback. I am actually looking for a Seat PAD with transducers but the Relatus seems to have disappeared. Other options are $400 + from simracing Studio. Maybe that would eliminate the noise isuues.

    Buttkickers Rock!! I have the ButtKicker advanced which is a size over the pro(or may be the renamed version)… And just under the ButtKicker LFE. Its attached to my couch and has enough power that it can be turned up to an unbearable point lol. Great for movies and gaming. I need this software though! First time I used it with “Call of Duty”, a friend got next to me (online), and laid prone with a Belt fed machine gun and fired. I used to do videos that cited more than USD, but I got comments about the exchange rate as the videos aged. So, I’ve made the decision to go with showing only the primary currency used by the company (I’ll often reference the price of car mods in Euro) to keep it simple. But I hear you. Maybe I’ll revisit my strategy soon.

    Neat, but unless they have a transducer-only option, not for me. I've already got two of their mini LFEs on a better amp than what they're shipping. If I could order two of their Pro units, and not have to pay for two amps, then I'd be interested.

    • @sock2070
      @sock2070 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why did you replace the amp it came with? Is it just for more powerful output or does it help in other ways?

    • @LeoDavidson
      @LeoDavidson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sock2070 The amp that came with my BK Gamer2 was not fit for purpose. It would overheat and turn itself off almost instantly, and basically never worked for more than about 30 seconds. It didn't remember the volume setting and had to have it dialled in every time it was turned on, via a ridiculously cumbersome wired remote. Not isolated issues, either; the web is full of similar complaints. It is just pure garbage. I replaced it with a $20 mono amp which works perfectly and has none of those issues. It put me off going near the brand ever again, especially given the price of the package.

    • @kevinlowe0
      @kevinlowe0 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sock2070 I didn't buy their amp in the first place. I got a rack-mount Crown amp; that let me run two mini LFEs and mount all the hardware (surge protector, shaker amp, and PC) into a server rack independent of my aluminum profile chassis.

    Buttkickers have been known to fail, a lot. You can buy a set of two transducers and an amp for less than $100 and have better left/right feedback. You can get 4 transducers, one at each corner of your rig and an amp (or two) to power it so you can feel everything for much less than a Buttkicker. Front left right and rear left right. Then if a transducer fails, just buy another one for cheap and plug it in.

    ButtKicker is just too expensive for what it is. For sim racing you need a minimum of four bass shakers for proper feedback rather than just a shaker. The weight in the BK range results in muted responses. The larger weights are not required if your rig is acting as the weight or the shaker is connected at a distance from the mount. When the transducer is directly attached to the rig, the weight is not required.

    Dont buy buttkicker products. Mine stopped working after a little over a year. Have to replace amp, warranty only one year! Dont buy unless you are happy to see it die after a short while! Only help from support was turn it off, or replace it. What a waste of hard earned cash!
